With the way J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert are playing in the 2015 NBA Playoffs it’s clear for me that David Griffin should have been Executive of the Year. Who would have thought that without Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving the Cleveland Cavaliers would be only two wins away from an NBA Finals appearance.
I guess having The King as your leader makes all the difference. J.R. Smith came to the Cavs with a reputation. He was radioactive, but it turns out that not in Cleveland. Smith’s Game 1 performance vs. the Hawks including 8-for-12 on three-pointers felt like a blessing for the banged up Cavaliers. LeBron’s sidekick is doing it all while wearing the Nike LeBron 12 Low in a variety of colorways this Postseason. Nike LeBron low-tops are not usually considered the best performance kicks, but when you’re raining threes… nothing else matters.
