Head to Head: Air Max LeBron VII vs. Nike Shox VC II

When the design presenting the Nike Air Max LeBron VII was unveiled some of the most experienced Nike heads made an interesting remark about hot the new LeBrons look a lot like Nike Shox VC II – Vince Carter’s second signature shoe. Ironically enough it was one of several Nike shoes personalized for LeBron James when he was playing at SVSM in Akron. Fortunately, one of the LeBron collectors – Balalun – was king enough to share his photos featuring both SVSM-inspired LeBron VII and Shox VC II in a head to head comparison. Apart from the obvious differences like Max Air vs. Shox and slightly different colors placement there really is something to this theory. The midsole has a similar pattern and most of the waves on the upper do reflect one another. See for yourself. Click the title for more pics.

  • That's very interesting, they do look alike in ways! Both are good kicks though

  • Well, the uppers are nothing alike, the entire shape and silhouette are very different.
The supports are build-in differently, the collar is a completely different construction and shape, the only thing slightly similar is the sole construction, other than that, the only similarity is that they're both good lookin' basketball shoes.
