We’ve already had four Retro releases of the Nike Air Zoom Generation – LeBron James’ first signature shoe. Last year things started around the All-Star Game with the Vachetta Tan edition, which sort of reminded of the Wheats, in concept, but not really in execution.
Now, as we’re nearing the 2018 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, Nike is looking to bring back the original “Wheat” design for another AZG Retro release. It all makes sense when you think about it… the 2004 NBA-All-Star Game was also held in L.A. LeBron James wore the Wheats in the Rookie Challenge.
The AO0110-700 Wheat Gold/Wheat Gold version of the Air Zoom Generation is expected to be released around the All-Star Weekend, which is scheduled on February 18th, 2018. Stay tuned to NikeLeBron.net for more updates as they develop. Who knows… maybe Nike decides to bring back the original ASG colorway?!
