Dwyane Wade & LeBron James lead Heat past Celtics into East finals

LeBron James loves those big game 5’s, doesn’t he? The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics 97-87 Wednesday in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Heat won the series 4-1, and will play either Chicago or Atlanta in the conference finals. Guard Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 34 points, but it was the fourth-quarter play of LeBron James that propelled the Heat into the next round. The Heat’s Big 3 of James, Chris Bosh and Wade combined for 81 of the 97 points. They combined for 23 of the 26 fourth-quarter points. The stat was more damaging, considering Boston’s trio of Garnett, Paul Pierce and Allen totaled just 45 points. James, who scored 33 points, had three baskets in the closing moments to help Miami close out the series. The Heat trailed 87-81 late in the fourth quarter, but finished with a 16-0 run.

  • F*CK YEAH!!!! HEAT TAKE DOWN THE CELTICS!!!! Lebron won the game for em!!!!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAH!!!!! I told everyone Heat are going far! I swear I lost my voice watching LeBron close the game out. Great game.

  • That monster dunk by LeBron in the last few minutes was the dagger! Well deserved win...

  • That was a GREATEST game that I had ever seen. Lebron n Wade were a BEAST in that game. Lebron apologized to Cleveland that is what I am surprised about.

  • After 5 years of waiting. Two of the most disappointing defeats coming from the celtics. All that patience was worth it. Lebron closing the celtics out was finally a beautiful reality last night. Paul pierce's face = price less. I bet espn wont be making a segment on hous pierce didnt stick around to shake hands.

  • Bron killing it - love seeing these fools step their ridiculous game up in the playoffs - next stop Chicago.

wade and bron are unstoppable in the 3rd quarter...
