Chicago is Daring LeBron James to Play for the Bulls… with Shoes!

Right as the clock struck 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday morning, officially starting this summer’s free-agency bonanza, LeBron James received three things – several phone calls from interested teams, a knock on his door and a mysterious package. Since the package was mysterious, no one knew what it contained. But now that we’re a few days past the start of the offseason signing period, someone has to take credit for the move. As it turns out, the package James received was from Chicago. And as it turns out, it was the final piece in a week-long marketing initiative by the Chicago-based Leo Burnett Worldwide ad agency. The package contained an OG colorway of the Air Jordan Alpha 1 and a message “Do you dare to fill these shoes?”. The message consisted of more reverse psychology lines like that (see the picture above). From the marketing point of view it was a great move by the Chicago Bulls officials, but do you think it will have any effect on LeBron’s decision? Source: BDL.

  • LeBron is a smart guy. I don't think that a pair of shoes will change his decision.

  • This was not done by Chicago Bulls Officials...it was done independantly by the Leo Burnett company.... on of the best ad agencies in the world when comes to 'human behavior' marketing. Great company. Great idea, don't shy away from greatness....

  • LeBRON DOES NOT WANT TO FILL THE SHOES OF ONE OF HIS CHILD HOOD STARS HE WANTS TO BUILD HIS OWN PATH AND BECOME BETTER THEN THE ONES HE LOOKED UP AT.

  • I think Lebron James can make his own descisions and do what he thinks is best. I'll still be his fan even if he doesn't go to Chicago.
