On the 17th of July, 2008 LeBron James visited Nike Headquarters at Beaverton, Oregon. Here are some pictures from that event. During his extracurricular activities (non-Olympics related), he rocked a special LeBron “World Tour” t-shirt. However, there was something much more special about that day. Many of Nike’s employees received a special Nike Zoom LeBron VI edition, created exclusively to commemorate King James’ appearance. The so-called “World Tour” aka Beaverton ZLVI features Black mesh upper, Black Patent Leather toe box (with sparkles), multicolored triple stitching midsole, gradient Nike Swoosh, Red/Yellow outsole and some additional Orange details. Also, the event’s details (BEAVERTON, OR – JULY 17, 2008) are stitched on behind the tongue. The whole Yellow/Orange/Red/Black combination says one thing only… they are ON FIRE! A possible release is very unlikely, but I would like to see them hit the streets, instead of the usual and boring at times SVSMs, CTKs, etc. Photos courtesy of Sneakervault.

That settles it... the mesh sets off the VI for sure! More mesh Nike!!! That matte finish is a great compliment to the other materials used!
