Back in June, Nike held their first annual Nike Basketball Academy event hosting some of the top college and high school players in the country. LeBron James made a special appearance, breaking out the LeBron 13’s, but we also got a chance to check out a special version of the LeBron Soldier 9 created exclusively for the players attending the Academy.
Much like the Rise edition, the “Academy” Soldier 9 PE offers a colorful design full or gradients, but instead of Black sports a toned Wolf Grey upper. Additionally, the shoe is full of additional signature references like the Akron area code (330) and OH (Ohio) on the back. You can find a pair on eBay every now and then in the $300-400 range.
