LeBron Surpases Jordan Entering 7th Straight NBA Finals Appearance »

LeBron James is walking history, and he added more chapters to his incredible career Thursday night with a 135-102 Game 5 victory. Late in the third quarter, James splashed a 3-pointer from the left wing and spun, holding a finger in the air. The shot put him past Jordan for the most points in playoffs history: 5,995 and counting after James concluded another masterpiece with 35 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. James also passed Manu Ginobili for 3rd place on the all-time postseason list, canning triple No. 319.

The King laced up his 39th colorway of the Nike LeBron 14 with a new Grey and Black colorway. For the season he’s already worn 63 different shoes surpassing his previous record of sixty back in 2013-14. 39 different LeBron 14’s are trailing only the LeBron 12 two years ago when he used 42 styles. I expect LeBron to switch to the Soldier 11 in the Finals but it may go both ways, actually.

The Wine and Gold advanced the NBA Finals for the third straight season, which extends LeBron’s personal streak to 7 years, where they?ll square off again with Golden State Warriors. The Cavaliers will travel out to Oakland on Tuesday, with Game 1 set for next Thursday night at Oracle Arena. Game 2 is set for next Sunday (June 4) before the series returns to Cleveland for the next two with Game 3 slated for Wednesday, June 7 and Game 4 going down on Friday, June 9.
