Here’s a closer look at Nike LeBron 14 Navy PE that King James laced up a week ago when he visited the Madison Square Garden. He usually wears special edition sneakers in New York so it seemed strange to see him wear a plain Navy make up. Plus he had known he’s gonna become the youngest player to surpass 28,000 points in that game so it was normal to expect a commemorative shoe.

Turns out the shoe is not boring at all. First of all it’s the first version to feature a solid rubber outsole. Normally you’d go with translucent for a special treatment, but times have changed and everything else is translucent by default so the good old solid rubber becomes a deficit item.

Then we have the logos. At first glance regular Grey Nike swoosh logos. But the new close ups provide us with more details unveiling the OG lionhead graphics that first appeared on the Nike Zoom LeBron II. Classy.

All in all… I really think Nike did a great job with PE colorways for LeBron James this season and hopefully the coming GR styles will be just as good.
