“I was able to turn down the lane, but I made myself very small on my finish,” said James, who has now lost both of his season openers since returning to the Cavaliers. “Pau already had five blocks at that point. He made a helluva play.”

The Cavs’ superstar possessed the ball at the top, with his team trailing 97-95, and appeared to have an angle on Bulls big man Pau Gasol. But as James tried to turn a corner and get to the rim, Gasol stuffed James’ shot out of bounds with 3.6 seconds to go. Cleveland couldn’t get off another shot.

Anyway, James showed no signs of rust in his first game action in 15 days. He led everybody with 25 points on 12-of-22 shooting (54.5 percent), and contributed 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

As it was announced in Nike’s official unveiling of the Opening Night pack, James wore the “Cork” version of the Nike LeBron 13. I’m not sure it’s a good match with the Cavs’ uniforms even though the shoes uses Wine color. What do you think?
