Release Reminder: Nike LeBron XI Elite “Team Collection” »

Apr 12, 2014 at 3:32 am | launch-datelebron-xishoes

With the LeBron 11 Elite Nike wanted to go with more protection and more containment rather than just making the shoes slightly lighter like with the previous iterations. Apparently instead of going with carbon fiber like usual, they used a metalized TPU plate, which is still strong enough but is much more flexible. This is crucial for LeBron doing his cuts and when he’s moving laterally. The big difference in terms of the Hyperposite from the original LeBron 11 is the removal of some elements in the forefoot in order to minimize the weight but also keep that level of protection. The initial Wolf Grey, Laser Crimson, Cool Grey and Black colorway of the LeBron XI drops in just a couple of hours at nikestore.com and other Nike Basketball retailers. Fans in Europe got them yesterday and they’re still available for purchase. Take a closer look below or browse the gallery for more pics.
