The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics 93-79 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Monday at American Airlines Arena. The Heat hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. LeBron James got to a great start and outscored the Celtics in the first quarter. He never let up after that. The age gap between Paul Pierce and LeBron has never looked so wide. Pierce just couldn’t stick with LeBron physically, which hasn’t been the case over their respective careers. People wondered who was going to guard Dwyane Wade this series. But what about LeBron? James finished with 32 points and 13 rebounds while Dwyane Wade added 22 points and seven assists. Miami led from start to finish and controlled the action with the exception of the second quarter.
