Throwback Thursday: Nike Zoom Soldier White / Purple from Pou Chen »

The shoes you see below were introduced way back at Nike’s Future Footwear presentation during the 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas. Since then… any trace of the shoe has simply vanished. Featuring White, Purple and Gold colors the Nike Zoom Soldier is one of those rare samples that has never made it into production. If you look closely at the tags it comes from Nike’s Pou Chen factory in Taiwan. Pou Chen Corp., a major Taiwanese transnational shoemaker, opened the factory in 1993 at a cost of $100 million and produces more than a million shoes a month exclusively for Nike. Some of the rarest kicks with the Swoosh logo are made there. Too bad we don’t get to see most of them. More photos after the break.
