The Spurs won the 2014 NBA Finals with a resounding 104-87 win over LeBron James and the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the best-of-seven series. A third-straight lopsided Finals victory gave the Spurs a 4-1 series triumph and avenged a heartbreaking loss to the Heat in the 2013 NBA Finals. It also brought the franchise its fifth NBA championship since it selected Tim Duncan with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1997 NBA Draft. All four of the Spurs wins (Games 1, 3, 4 and 5) came by 15 or more points. NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs. LeBron James was the best player in the series, a truly Most Valuable Player to his team, but without help from his teammates, James stood no chance of fending off the Spurs. He couldn’t win a title with the NBA’s oldest roster this season. James wore a new pair of the Nike Zoom Soldier 7’s in Black and Gold for the elimination game. Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs and thank you Miami Heat for a great season!

The Miami Heat lost back-to-back postseason games for the first time since the 2012 Eastern Conference finals. Kawhi Leonard led four players in double-figures with 20 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 107-86 victory against the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The Spurs, who lead the series 3-1, are one win from winning the fifth title in franchise history. For the second straight game, the Heat were no match for the Spurs’ precision offense. San Antonio shot 57 percent from the field. The Heat were led by forward LeBron James’ 28 points and eight rebounds. Wade and Bosh left too much of the heavy lifting to James. They combined for just 22 points on 8 of 24 shooting. It was arguably Wade’s worst performance of the postseason. Can Miami get back into the series and win it all?

Playing in the uncomfortable warmth of an AT&T Center that lost its air conditioning due to electrical problems, the San Antonio Spurs were able to capitalize on cramping and subsequent early exit of LeBron James on their way to a 110-95 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. James appeared to experience muscle cramps in the hot building after he made a layup with four minutes to go with the Heat trailing by two points. “I’m feeling better than I did when I came off the floor [with cramps]… I was going to try to give it a go, and ‘Spo said ‘No.’ You know, after I came out of the game, they kind of took off. And it was frustrating sitting out and not being able to help the team.” Following the unveiling of the LeBron 11 Elite Finals PE in practice, James went back to the Zoom Soldiers and debuted a new predominantly Grey colorway with Black and Gold details.

The Miami Heat are currently preparing for a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals looking to defend the championship and complete the three-peat. As for LeBron James and his shoes it’s been like a roller coaster. At first The Nike LeBron XI has suffered a setback due to fit problems, which was the initial reason why James opted for the Nike Zoom Soldier VII. In December, LeBron came back to the 11’s for a couple of games with a “redefined” version, but it didn’t last long and went with the Soldiers again after New Year’s Eve. Then there was a brief episode with the Fairfax and Allstar 11’s in February and some LeBron 11 Elite tests in March. Each attempt ended as a fail with LeBron rolling back to the Soldiers. Finally, it seemed that Bron will stick with the Elites for the Playoffs, which he used a lot in the first round, but we were fooled once again. After 77 regular season games plus 15 playoff games and with maximum of 7 games left, LeBron James wore 26 different Nike Zoom Soldier VII colorways… most of them were PEs, of course. That’s much more than the LeBron 11 even if we include the Elites and Lows. Check out the complete list below.

LeBron James is sticking with the Soldiers. Last night he wore his latest Player Exclusive version that he also used in Game 4 vs. the Pacers. Today we get a much better look at the shoes. His new Miami Heat PE features a red upper base with black midsole, and the strap and grey details on the outsole and the laces. It’s definitely one of the better colorways matching the Heat’s away uniforms. Continue reading for more close ups and stay tuned for more updates on LBJ’s future wears.

LeBron James’ dominating performance pushed the Miami Heat within one win of the NBA Finals. James led the Heat to a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference finals during a 102-90 victory over the Pacers on Tuesday night. The four-time NBA MVP had a game-high 32 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals a day after Stephenson said he showed “a sign of weakness” by trash talking in the previous contest. Stephenson was hoping to frustrate James with his words, but it appeared to have an opposite effect. “I was trying to get into his head, but I guess he stepped up and got the win,” Stephenson said. As for the shoes… James debuted yet another colorway of the Nike Zoom Soldier VII similar to his previous predominantly red style. The new version has a grey sole instead of black.

The Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers 99-87 Saturday night. LeBron James led the way with 26 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Once again it was LeBron James and Dwyane Wade who led the way for the Heat and erased an early 15-points deficit in their Game 3 victory. James primarily attacked the Pacers from the perimeter and really did his best to set up his teammates. Ray Allen had a phenomenal fourth quarter and a number of his shots were assisted by James. Miami now leads the series 2-1. King James laced up the Nike Zoom Soldier VII in Black and Red, which he also wore in Game 5 vs. Brooklyn. It was his fifth straight Playoff game wearing the Soldiers!

The Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers 87-83 Tuesday night. With Miami trailing in the fourth quarter, its two superstars shined brightest. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James scored 22 of the Heat’s 25 points in the fourth quarter and did everything to bring the series back to Miami tied at one game apiece. King James wore a different pair of shoes in each half. In the first half he laced up a new predominantly Red colorway of the Nike LeBron 11 Elite, but switched into the Soldier 7 after the break. Same old story, but the kicks were pretty sick… especially the Elite with the camo outsole. Check out the pics below.
