Wearing Brons – King City Classic Nike Zoom Soldier III PE »

LeBron James’ sponsored Nike basketball tournament called King City Classic took place on July 8th, 2009. Top high school players in the country attended the KCC, which followed this year’s LeBron James Skills Academy. For us, sneakerheads, this means a new Nike LeBron PE was unveiled on the hardwood in Akron and Cleveland. The King City Classic Nike Zoom Soldier III Player Exclusive is a beauty! I would love to see LeBron James wearing those in the Playoffs as it sports Cleveland Cavaliers’ team colors. The KCC ZSIII PE features a lot of Patent Leather on the upper, which is mainly Black, two Red straps and Gold outsole. Don’t expect to see them in stores, cause these event themed shoes are usually very hard to find – for example Shooting Stars VI’s. However, I would love to get my hands on those… that’s for sure. Wearing Brons – Sue Bird’s Zoom Soldier III Livestrong PE »

This pair of Nike Zoom Soldier IIIs was designed with Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong theme in mind in order to raise cancer awareness. They were worn in game action recently… no, not by LeBron James (the Soldiers are part of his signature line with Nike), but by Sue Bird of the WNBA’s Seattle Storm. Those things are really, really yellow. Wow. But hey, as the son of a cancer survivor, we would have to say that anything that helps bring even a small amount of recognition to the Livestrong cause is a good thing. Wearing Brons – Cavs Follow LBJ and Go Zoom Soldier 3 All the Way »

In the last game against the Orlando Magic, the starting five of the Cavaliers were wearing LeBron James’ Nike shoes. In the previous round Mo Williams and Delonte West joined LBJ and Big Z, who rocked the ZSII, by wearing the Nike Zoom Soldier III. In Game 3 of the ECF seven Cavs players were spotted in the new Soldier, even the big guys – Ben Wallace, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Varejao, Tarence Kinsey, Delonte West, Mo Williams, and of course LeBron James. Too bad all that support didn’t result in a truly united performance, but let’s hope tonight it will make a difference. Photos of the LEBRON ARMY after the break.

Wearing Brons – WNBA Edition – Candice Dupree & Sue Bird & Seimone Augustus »

LeBron James’ Zoom Soldiers are considered to be a so-called team line of his signature sneakers. Each year several team basketball colorways hit the stores and they can be seen on High School, College, and NBA courts. The thing you see below is a new territory for us. We don’t know if WNBA players rock signature kicks on daily basis, but yesterday on teams’ 2009 Media Day there were couple surprises… especially for us LeBron-heads. Candice Dupree of the Chicago Sky, Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm, and Seimone Augustus of the Minnesota Lynx sported the Nike Zoom Soldier III. The didn’t use GRs though, cause each shoe was a match with team’s native colors. So check out 3 hot colorways of the ZIII for a preview of things to come.

Wearing Brons – Playoff Edition – Louis Williams and Von Wafer »

Before we tune in to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers finish off the Detroit Pistons let’s take a look at other NBA players, who decided to switch to LeBron shoes when it matters most – the NBA Playoffs. Louis Williams of the Philadelpha 76ers has been wearing the Zoom LeBron VI (Black/Royal/Maize, OSU) while Von Wafer of the Houston Rockers has been spotted rocking the Zoom Soldier III (Playoff Edition). Of course some of LBJ’s teammates still can be seen sporting the previous Soldier – ZSII – from time to time.
