Wearing Brons – Tyson Chandler’s Soldier III USA Basketball PE »

Earlier this month we mentioned about the appearance of the LeBron VII USA Basketball PE worn by Diana Taurasi. Although King James is not participating in the ongoing Men’s Training Camp in Las Vegas, there is a LeBron shoe present with the Team U.S.A. Tyson Chandler, who did wear some Soldier 3‘s last season, was spotted in a new colorway matching national colors – Navy, White and Red. Nike has prepared an USAB version of the new Soldier IV, however, we might not get a chance to see them on court.

Wearing Brons – Ohio State’s White / Red LeBron 7 & Soldier 3 »

Ohio State Buckeyes are set to open NCAA Tournament today in Milwaukee. After winning the 2010 Big Ten Tournament last week in Indianapolis, Ohio State enters NCAA tournament play with a 27-7 overall record and a 14-4 regular season mark in Big Ten Conference play. Because OSU is one of two universities sponsored by Nike’s LeBron brand we take a closer look at their current basketball shoes. Some of the players are still wearing the Zoom Soldier III Ohio State Exclusive while others have already switched to the Air Max LeBron VII. Too bad they didn’t get a personalized edition as they have been wearing the White/Red NFW General Release version.
UPDATE: We dubbed them as OSU’s and the team wore the shoes last night (AMLVII Grey/Red TB). Continue reading for photographic evidence.

Wearing Brons – CTK’s Air Max LeBron VII and Zoom Soldier III »

For the past couple years Nike dropped one version of the Christ the King LeBrons to public, while the other one remained a Player Exclusive. This season the AMLVII Away edition is soon to be released, however, the Home colorway has been issued to CTK Royals players only. Same story with the previous model – Zoom Soldier III. In that case we received Homes, cause the CTK High School got Aways. They wear both of course. Finding photos of the player issued shoes is very challenging. Since there are no shoe pics available, we have looked around the Internet for some in-game photos. Continue reading to see the Royals wearing all four – 2x AML7 & 2x ZS3.

Wearing Brons – More Nike Soldier 3′s and First LBJ7 Sighting »

Last month, we posted a “Wearing Brons” report featuring several NBA players wearing LeBron James’ Nike Zoom Soldier III. Today, we give you an update on the current situation. Some of the names are the same, f.e. Mike Miller, but there are also couple new ones including DeJuan Blair of the San Antonio Spurs, Marcus Banks of the Toronto Raptors, Jonny Flynn of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lindsey Hunter of the Chicago Bulls, and several Cavs’ players: Jawad Williams, Anderson Varejao, and Mo Williams. Additionally, Marcus Banks was spotted sporting the Black/Gold edition of the Air Max LeBron VII (last 2 photos). Seems like he was the first and the only NBA player other than King James to wear the VII’s on court.

Wearing Brons – Fairfax High School Debuts the Zoom Soldier III PE »

This year Nike released four school Nike Zoom Soldier III’s including SVSM, CTK, AU and OSU… all in Home colorways. Recently we profiled the ZSIII Away Player Exclusive as well, but other variations are yet to be seen. This leaves us with the Fairfax edition, which for the past couple years has been reserved for Fairfax Lions players only. Actually, none of their shoes have been released to public since the Zoom Soldier I. With the new season in full swing the Away edition of the Soldier III has been spotted on court. It’s weird too see them wearing Away shoes with Home uniforms, but I guess they didn’t get them yet.

Wearing Brons – NBA Regular Season Kicks Report – Zoom Soldier III »

When LeBron James rocked the Hardwood Classic LBJ7, other Cavs Nike players joined him wearing the Zoom Soldier III in Royal, White and Orange. While it’s common for James’ teammates to sport his signature kicks, usually the Soldier line, we look around the league to see who else is rocking LeBrons. Before the season started Mike Miller caused quite a stir by wearing the ZSIII after becoming a Wizard, which seems to be against the rules in Washington. George Hill of the San Antonio Spurs, who wore the Soldier II last year is also lacing up the III’s from time to time. Roy Hibbert of the Indiana Pacers and Tyson Chandler of the Charlotte Bobcats have been spotted wearing the Nike Zoom Soldier III as well. Finally, Delonte West usually sports interesting colorways of the Soldiers as his did in their last game. Check out all photos after the jump.

Wearing Brons – Cavs Crew Goes Hardwood Classic LeBron Style »

Last week when the Cleveland Cavaliers introduced their new Hardwood Classic uniforms, we mentioned about LeBron James’ new Air Max LeBron VII themed shoes. Turns out the whole team went HWC style on that night, with most of the players wearing L23′s other signature sneakers – Zoom Soldier III – the Team bank version. Same thing happened in this year’s Playoffs, when most of Cavs’ players wore the ZSIII. Some of Clevaland’s crew rock LeBrons on daily basis, like for example Big Z, but others dressed up for the occasion. Check out pics featuring Big Z, AP, Delonte, Varejao, and Jamario Moon. Mo and Boobie also sported the Soldiers.

Wearing Brons – Think Pink with Atlanta Dream and Soldier III »

The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund is a charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women’s cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. There were many symbols for breast-cancer awareness at Philips Arena on Saturday night. The Atlanta Dream hosted their second annual “Dream Pink” game. All players wore pink uniforms and Gloria-like pink LeBron shoes – Nike Zoom Soldier III “Kay Yow.”
