Release Reminder: Nike LeBron 9 “University of Miami” »

Seems like we will see LeBron James wearing the Nike LeBron 9 soon, hurray(!), but he has some serious catching up to do. After this week, fans will get a chance to buy Nines choosing among 9 different styles. The latest addition to the collection is the Miami Hurricanes colorway, that will be released tomorrow at nikestore.com and other Nike retailers like mrrsportsmiami. Detailed Look at Miami Hurricanes 9′s That Drop This Month »

It’s only been couple weeks since the Nike LeBron 9 dropped, but there are several styles available already. The list includes Chinas, UK’s, Aways, Homes, Miami Nights, and Cannons, which have a very wide span of release dates. They dropped in October in Asia. They released yesterday in London, and some U.S. spots have jumped the gun and started selling them despite the official 12/2 date for the U.S. Same goes for the Miami Hurricanes presented below. They come out in two weeks (11/29), but you might find some pairs sooner than that. For now, let’s enjoy couple new photos.

Detailed Look at Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes” PE »

Two images presenting the “Miami Hurricanes” colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 have surfaced the Internet. Both of them present the same White, Green and Orange style, but one of them comes with an actual University of Miami logo on the tongue while the other sports LeBron James’ signature like all regular models. According to our sources UM LeBrons will join Kentuckys and Ohio States and will become available to public in the upcoming weeks. The other two come out without school logos, so it’s unlikely for Miamis to come out differently. Once I hear something, it will be posted, for sure.

Nike LeBron 9 and the real “Univeristy of Miami” Hurricanes »

Apparently the shoes posted yesterday are inspired by Hurlburt Field, which is a port of the Eglin Air Force Base and it’s is where the Miami Heat held their training camp last season. The real Miami Hurricanes has been also unveiled. Only teaser pics are available right now, but you can see some of the details. They look like SVSM kicks with Orange instead of Gold.

Report: Nike LeBron line to outfit Kentucky, Ohio State and Miami »

The University of Miami men’s basketball team will be sporting LeBron James branded Nike gear this coming season thanks to a sponsorship deal with the Miami Heat superstar. James will also be sponsoring Ohio State and Kentucky, but we already saw UK and OSU personalized LeBron kicks before. James has no direct ties to any of the three schools he’ll be sponsoring, but the Akron, Ohio native is known as an Ohio State fan. And he built a relationship with UM when he and some Heat teammates played pick-up games with Hurricanes players on campus last summer. I can imagine some pretty nice shoes for all three teams… hopefully they won’t be just PEs. Info via Sun Sentinel.
