So far we’ve have had about 1 good photo of the Nike Zoom Soldier Skills Academy PE. Obviously these one-event shoes are pretty hard to obtain so finding pictures is not an easy task either. Fortunately, our readers and friends from all over the globe help us every way possible. That’s why today, courtesy of Akron-native KDogLBJ23, we give you a closer look at the Skills Academy Player Exclusive from the ‘07 season. There’s also a 2008 version. Read more on that here. The LeBron James Skills Academy PEs are usually GR models with a special logo on board. That’s also the case this time with a special Skills Academy logo on the insole and on the ankle collar.

Nike Zoom Soldier II ‘08 LeBron James Skills Academy PE

One year ago when the LeBron James U.S. Skills Academy took place a special Zoom Soldier Player Edition was made exclusively for that event. This year when we recapped the ‘08 LBJ Skills Academy it was unclear if the Zoom Soldier II has been granted the same honor. Fortunately, browsing through ebay an answer has been found. The primary Soldier II colorway has been customized for the attendants, who participated in this year’s camp. The difference that sets the GR and this Promo Sample apart is lack of the Lionhead logo on the back. It got replaced with a Skills Academy logo, which is also present on the insole. LeBron ‘King’ James 2008 Nike Skills Academy Recap

The Nike Lebron James Skills Academy kicked off in Lebron’s hometown at the University of Akron back in July. In addition to continuing to stress the mission of the Academy (make this a once-in-a-lifetime overall experience for the nation’s best basketball players), introducing the staff (which is the best youth basketball camp staff in the world), the overall purpose of the academy was stressed several times – teach work ethic, the vital skills per position to compete in college and the NBA, and how to appreciate unselfishness and team play (learn to play effectively with 4 other guys). For the record, Nike and it’s mission and purpose at this Academy, represents what is right with youth/grassroots basketball – teaching kids how to work hard (many of them don’t know how), the fundamentals of the game (many of them aren’t being taught at their high schools), and how to play the game the way it supposed to be played (team concepts, no “And 1 Mixtape” crap!). The best High School players in the nation came together in a star-studded skills academy that took place in Akron, Ohio back in July. Elite instructors, college coaches and LeBron showed them everything a young basketball player needs to excel. This video shows The King wearing his latest sneakers Nike Zoom LeBron V for the very first time, while all the other attendants received a personalized version of the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier! LeBron James Skills Academy is a part of US Skills Academy organized by NIKE Inc across the country. It involves several events hosted by top NBA stars like LeBron James, Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter and Amare Stoudemire. This revolutionary Academy promises to be the most innovative, and inspiring skill development basketball training ground of its’ kind anywhere on the planet. LeBron’s Academy took place on July 6-9, 2007 at the University of Akron (Akron, OH). While the focus of the Skills Academy is on the countless top high school players in attendance, LeBron’s on-court appearance was one of the most buzzworthy events of that weekend. King James suited up and played several scrimmages with the camp’s most promising stars. Nike has made a special Skills Academy edition of the Nike Zoom Soldier for all the attendants. It features the first colorway with a special LeBron Skills Academy logo on the side.
