The Showcase: Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon”. Best One? »

I’m sitting next to three of the hottest releases this season and still can’t decide which ones should be #1. Galaxy, China and Cannon make the top 3, of course. All 3 share many similarities, which are the reason for the instant sell outs and the $250+ listing price on eBay. All of them feature a very unique style and a interesting story behind them. Chinas commemorate the Year of the Dragon, Galaxies (All-star) implement the astronomy theme due to Florida’s space industry and the Cannons draw inspiration from U.S. Air Force base at Hurlburt Field. However, if I really had to choose only one I think it would be the Pre-Heat because it’s probably the most versatile of all. Releasing Now: Limited Edition Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon” / “Pre-Heat” »

The Cannons might have gone fast in the U.S., but you can still head over to NikeStore Europe as they’re still available in a full size run. On top of that all European House of Hoops stores will carry the Pre-Heat version of the Nike LeBron 9 starting today. Be sure to checkout the complete gallery presenting the shoes that made headlines on ESPN. The military-green theme is a nod to the Miami Heat having their first training camp since James joined the team last season at Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base.

Official Nike LeBron 9 Cannon / Pre-Heat Drop Pushed Back »

Nikestore.com has jest updated their release schedule for the Nike LeBron 9. Most of the dates have stayed the same, but probably the most anticipated colorway, the so called “Cannon”, has been pushed back to December 3rd, 2011. The Pre-Heats have already dropped in Asia and Miami earlier this month, but they were expected to release on a wider scale on 11/11/11. Maybe that’s a good thing… so many other styles are releasing in such a short time span, now you’ll have more time to plan ahead. Keep checking back for updates and as always check actual release dates here, or better yet bookmark it.

LeBron Debuts New Shoes at South Florida All Star Classic Game »

With NBA still in lockout situation it’s all up to NBA stars to organize basketball games. The Miami Heat “Big Three” hosted the South Florida All-Star Classic Game on Saturday night at U.S. Century Bank Arena at Florida International University. Team Wade defeated Team LeBron 141-140 in an overtime win. If anybody thought Miami Heat stars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were putting on a charity game simply to have some fun, guess again. With James and Wade on opposite teams, both guys really wanted bragging rights. James late in the game was arguing calls. Wade blocked a key shot in overtime. The game ended with James throwing in a 40-footer at the buzzer. Even though the announcer said it should have counted for four points, it was worth just three, and Team LeBron fell a point short. Just as expected King James debuted the Nike LeBron 9 in the Cannon colorway, which was released yesterday in Miami and has started his 2011-2012 shoes timeline.

LeBron to Debut “Pre-Heat” 9′s at South Florida All-Star Game. »

LeBron James will debut the Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon” aka “Pre-Heat” in the South Florida Classic All-Star Game. You can watch the game tonight at cbsmiami.com at 7:30 PM. For this occasion Nike Basketball is releasing the shoes in limited quantities. Similar to last year’s LEBRON 8 “South Beach” colorway, the LEBRON 9 Cannon will first be released exclusively in Miami as a sign of appreciation and respect for LeBron’s South Florida fans and community. The official premiere has been set for midnight. Look for them at select retail locations e.g. House of Hoops and Nike Town.

Nike LeBron 9 “Pre-Heat” Early Miami Release Info »

The official name for the Cannon colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 is finally kicking in. Last week when we posted detailed photos, for the very first time, we mentioned about the “Pre-Heat” name for the Cannon/Volt-Slate Blue-Team Orange style. We also mentioned that the NDC release slated for November won’t be the first chance to get the shoes in the U.S. Turns out, similar to last year’s South Beach drop, fans in Miami will get a chance to get them sooner than everybody else. Look for them at your local account starting October 9th. As usual, couple new pics after the break. Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon” aka “Pre-Heat” Finally with Decent Photos »

According to the schedule posted on nikestore.com the Cannons are slated to drop in November. However, that’s for the online drop. They will be also available in China starting tomorrow with U.S. to follow within the next two weeks. It’s about time to take a decent look at this new Nike LeBron 9 colorway. The new photos show the whole GR package with LeBron James’ new signature white drawer box and an additional pair of speckled laces. Are you planning to get the “Pre-Heats” once they drop?

Release Reminder: Limited Miami South Beach Nike LeBron 8 »

I’m pretty sure these shoes need no reminder, but with only a couple hours left till the official drop, let’s take yet another look at the South Beach Nike Air Max LeBron 8. Initially released last month at selected accounts in Miami area, however, starting tomorrow the Pre-heats start their expansion outside of Miami. The South Beach 8′s will be available at Nike Quickstrike accounts, House of Hoops location, several Footaction stores and online at eastbay.com and nikestore.com (midnight). The quantity remains unknown, but they are indeed very limited, so be sure to place your order as soon as possible. In the meantime… batch of new photos after the break.
