Throwback Thursday: Nike LeBron VII “Penny” Alternate PE »

One of Nike’s best ideas was creating the Heroes Pack for the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. One of their worst ideas was not releasing it to public! The Heroes Pack consists of three pairs, each commemorating one of LeBron James’ childhood idols – Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, and Penny Hardaway. There were two versions of the Jordan pair, but there are also two of Penny’s. Pretty much the only difference between them are the Orlando Magic-esque stripes on the air max unit. Seriously, I will never get over these.

Air Max LeBron VII “Heroes Pack” Penny Hardaway – New Photos »

There are a lot of photos presenting the LeBron VII Heroes Pack, but somehow the Penny pair has been hiding very well… until now, that is. The Heroes Pack consists of three shoes, inspired by each of LeBron’s childhood idols – Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders and Anfernee Hardaway. The Penny pair resembles classic Orlando Magic sneakers personalized for Mr. Hardaway. Of course, the biggest issue with these shoes is the fact they were made for LeBron & his close friends and chances of getting a pair are close to zero. They are simply too nice. Big Nike Swoosh underneath the sole is definitely a nice touch for Penny’s! Shout out to Lilpennymagicfan. Continue reading for more photos including all other shoes from the pack.

King’s Feet: Air Max 95 & Nike Zoom Toki & Air Max Penny II »

LeBron James was mad serious when announcing “The Decision” and he dressed up for the occasion. He sported a red button up shirt, dark jeans, and a pair of the Nike Air Zoom Toki from Nike’s last year collection. Shortly before the announcement was made he was seen wearing the Nike Air Max Penny II (not the first time) in the Miami Heat colorway during the LeBron James Skills Academy. Nobody was looking for the connection back then, but this could be interpreted as an indication for his new team… or just a big coincidence. Finally, King James was spotted in NYC the other day rocking the Nike Air Max 95 in Varsity Royal and Black to match his Witness t-shirt. Funny fact… apart from when he’s promoting his shoes, LBJ doesn’t wear a lot of LeBrons off the court. He’s loyal to Nike, though.

Heroes Pack – Air Max LeBron VII Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway »

Apparently, LeBron James is a huge Anfernee Hardaway fan. He’s made that clear in one of his recent interviews. He’s even been seen sporting Penny’s kicks. I was very surprised hearing this for the first time, because I was like the biggest Penny fan growing up… constantly arguing with my brother about him being better than MJ. Too bad injuries had ended his career before he reached his prime. Now, it’s all about King James. Anyway, one of three (that we know of) shoes from LBJ’s Heroes Pack is an Air Max LeBron VII colorway inspired by the Air Max Penny I in classic Orlando Magic colors. After seeing all these hot kicks… all I can say is… please, Nike, release the shoes!!!

Nike LeBron VII Hero Pack – Deion Sanders & Penny Hardaway »

LeBron James is seen as a hero in the eyes of many, but who does LeBron consider to be a hero? Allow these Air Max LeBron VII‘s to tell the story about LeBron’s heroes. Today we present you with a first look at the Air Max LeBron VII “Heroes Pack“. The red colorway was inspired by none other than Deion “Primetime” Sanders, and the black/blue version represents Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway. Get a closer look at both shoes after the jump. Unfortunately, only a handful of pairs were produced for LeBron James, and a few others. With that said, these will not release to the public.
