The Showcase: LeBron “South Beach” Family (Shoes, Slides, Socks) »

One of the great things about LeBron James playing in Miami is… the South Beach theme. It’s one of the most popular, most wanted, and unfortunately most expensive sneaker themes on the market these days. Introduced in 2010, Nike released their first South Beach shoe to launch the Nike LeBron 8. Along with the shoes came a limited “It’s Good to be The King” t-shirt (shout out to osneaker.com!). This season, they released the LeBron Air Slide and LeBron 9 P.S. Elite, both using the eye-catching Green, Black and Pink color scheme. Finding any of these at retail is considered a miracle. Similar to other limited 9′s, the South Beach aka Miami Vice style got some matching socks from Nike Basketball. Like most or their LeBron socks – Galaxys, Freegums, Chinas, Hornets, Taxi, Floridians – the “Ocean Drive” style is limited so you won’t find them at regular stores. I was able to avoid re-sell offers on eBay and found a pair at rockemsocks. Continue reading for a gallery presenting all South Beach products on a nice family portrait.

Throwback Thursday: Nike LeBron 8 “112 Pack” PEs & Interview »

When Jason Petrie designed his very first shoe for LeBron James – the Nike Air Max LeBron VII – his signature line has started drawing more attention than before. That’s also when DJ Clark Kent and Nike Basketball collaborated for the first time and created the “112 Pack” colorway. Apparently, he’s also behind the All Black Everything PE – a reference to friendship between King James and Jay-Z. Following the success of the first 112 LeBrons, DJCK did a repeat for the LeBron 8. The shoe sports a black suede base with tonal elephant print panels, but there are at least two different versions of the shoe – one with 1 elephant print panel, and the other one with 2. Unfortunately none of those will be released to the general public, but let us know how you feel about them in the comments below. Continue reading for more pics and a video interview with DJCK on his Nike LeBron collaborations.

Nike Air Max LeBron 8 V/2 “Miami Heat” Player Exclusive »

January was slow kicks-wise so it was a good time for LeBron James to break out some new LEBRON 9 Player Exclusives, which he did. Among the newly introduced PEs were Aways, Homes plus an additional Black & White version. Basically, the same groups of PEs as the last season’s LEBRON 8 V2′s. Among several Player Exclusive styles, which have surfaced afterwards is this new Miami Heat inspired colorway. King James didn’t get a chance to wear these in an actual NBA game, but it would be a nice match with Heat uniforms. Shout out to @artaphax for sharing.

PE Spotlight: Nike LeBron 8 “Post Season” Navy PE »

Last season, Nike released a couple of nice colorways of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. including a special NBA Finals make up. LeBron James has also unveiled some special colorways of his own, especially during the lockout basketball games in Philly, L.A. and the CP3 All-Star Game. However, what you see below is a new, previously unseen, version of the LeBron 8 P.S.. which comes in a Navy & White colorway. Thanks to KC KING T9X of NikeTalk for sharing!

Jason Petrie Unveils Unreleased Nike LeBron 8 “Miami Nights” Mid »

Jason Petrie has just posted yet another sample colorway from his vault of Nike LeBron sneakers. This time it’s the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 in a very familiar colorway… the so-called Miami Nights or Flamingos, which he probably would have preferred. According to JP, the concept for these Miami inspired kicks, which were released as low-tops, was initially a Mid version. Both of them are nice, but would you prefer the Mids over the actual store product? Actually, my only regret is that they were far too limited. Via @sevenzro.

Before the 2011 NBA Finals, LeBron James unveiled a new colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S.. Initially, it was believed to be his special Finals make up. In the end this was the actual Finals colorway, but King James ended up wearing the Gun Metal Grey version in the Drew League back in July. Now we can finally get a detailed look. Big thanks to Xclusive_Sole for sending his pics.

Never-Seen-Before Nike LeBron 8 V/2 MVP Samples »

What a treat to start the New Year with. Only a couple of hours in and we’re getting an unexpected look at two new Nike LeBron 8 V/2 colorways. Judging from the logo on the back they were made for LeBron James in case he won the NBA Most Valuable Player award for the last season. Both shoes feature a Black and Red gradient uppers with slightly different shades. The main difference is the Swoosh – white and black, respectively. How do they compare to Nike’s MVP shoes of the past – Zoom LeBron VI and Air Max LeBron VII? Shout out to @justinamazing1 for sharing!
