Last year a very rare pair of the LEBRON 9 PS leaked to the Internet. Last month, it turned out there are two very similar “Statue of Liberty” colorways. Both of them sport the South Beach theme and feature MVP badges on the tongue and MVP insoles inside. Both of them have recently popped up on eBay and turns out that when you combine South Beach and MVP then sky’s the limit to setting new Nike LeBron PE prices. The Statue of Liberty version fetched $5,200 while the South Beach version topped that with a highest bid of $7,700. I guess times when you could own rare Nike LeBron PEs with a three-digit number in your PayPal account are long gone, no?

Last year we posted a sneak peek at the “Statue of Liberty” version of the Nike LeBron 9 PS Elite. What we have here is the second variation on the Statue of Liberty theme. Thanks to instyleshoes.com we have awesome detailed images of these two great shoes. Both are very rare Player Exclusive styles and were never released tu public. Nike made a few other sneakers around the time of the LEBRON 9 that got the “Statue of Liberty” treatment. The nickname kind of stuck to these but they could also be referred to as an MVP sample as you can see from the logo on the tongue and on the insole. The second pair has the same base color, but has some pink that may remind you of the South Beach 8′s or Miami Vice 9′. You may call them the reverse Statue of Liberty, South Beach Elite, or just an alternate MVP shoe. Enjoy the detailed look below.

After trying out the LEBRON 11 in nearly 5 straight quarters throughout games versus Phoenix and Cleveland, King James is back to wearing the LEBRON X PS Elite. While new questions regarding the Nike LeBron XI arise with each day, I wonder if fans would like to join LBJ and get on the LEBRON 10 PS bandwagon. Nike Basketball has not been able to resolve the situation, or provide an explanation, however, they could restock LeBron’s old kicks on Nike iD. Apparently it’s an awesome basketball shoe. Usually, new kicks replace the previous model, but I think it would be a good idea to restock the LeBron X P.S. Elite alongside the LeBron XI. I have a feeling some fans would really appreciate another chance to design a pair. I know I would. In 2010, LeBron James proved greatness always repeats itself with his second consecutive MVP award. Nike Basketball celebrates his 2009-2010 season MVP with a new LeBron XI design concept. This time they went with something entirely new and created an eye-catching Blue on Blue style. The upper features a Game Royal upper sitting atop a translucent Gamma Blue outsole. This might be my favorite A Decade of Moments colorway, but what do you think?Read the rest of this entry »
In 2009, LeBron’s quest for greatness took another step forward with his first MVP trophy. Nike Basketball celebrates his 2008-2009 season MVP with a new LeBron XI design concept. It’s yet another colorway that is based on simple colors of white, blue, and red. The “League MVP” LeBron 11 shoe features a white upper with navy Hyperposite panels and red branding. An icy translucent outsole completes the look. You can get these today at nike.com.Read the rest of this entry »
Today’s NIKEiD LeBron XI design takes us back to 2006, when James overcame the league’s best and became the youngest player to win NBA All-Star MVP with a 29-point, 6-rebound performance. LBJ wore a White and Red version of the Zoom LeBron III with LeBron James graphics, but for this commemorative colorway Nike used the traditional red, white and blue color scheme. This is the 4th out of eleven “Decade of Moments” make ups. Stay tuned for a new one each day.Read the rest of this entry »
The color options on the regular Nike LeBron X iD were pretty good. They are even better for the Post Season version of the shoe. Last year, Nike launched the LEBRON 9 on Nike iD, but only the regular version. Therefore we couldn’t design our own NBA Finals colorways of the LEBRON 9 PS. This season we can do both Regular and Elite LEBRON X’s. If you want to make up for lost time and combine both 2012 and 2013 Championship Packs here’s one way to do so. Below there’s an alternate approach on how to restore the memories and celebrate LeBron James’ NBA Championships. You can design your own 2012 MVP and NBA Finals look-a-like colorways using the LEBRON X PS as the platform. The results are very nice, don’t you think? Seems like it’s the only way to get what we want these days.Read the rest of this entry »
The LeBron X MVP’s are done and gone in the U.S. According to Nike a similarly limited run should drop in Asia and if online boutiques from that region are any indication it’s just a matter of days. I won’t comment on the prices, though, because I don’t want to add any fuel to the already heated conversation. What I would like to do is enjoy the new photos that have popped up following the US release from last week. Btw… you can cop a matching WITNESS t-shit at eastbay.com… given that you already own the shoes and consider breaking them out.Read the rest of this entry »
