Mark Wahlberg is a busy man these days. He was recently spotted in New Orleans, where he is currently filming his latest movie titled Broken City. He was spotted leaving the gym wearing the Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes“. Apparently it’s a good match with his “Wahlburgers” hoodie, which represents a family-owned burger restaurant in Hingham. Release Reminder: Nike LeBron 9 “University of Miami” »

Seems like we will see LeBron James wearing the Nike LeBron 9 soon, hurray(!), but he has some serious catching up to do. After this week, fans will get a chance to buy Nines choosing among 9 different styles. The latest addition to the collection is the Miami Hurricanes colorway, that will be released tomorrow at nikestore.com and other Nike retailers like mrrsportsmiami. Detailed Look at Miami Hurricanes 9′s That Drop This Month »

It’s only been couple weeks since the Nike LeBron 9 dropped, but there are several styles available already. The list includes Chinas, UK’s, Aways, Homes, Miami Nights, and Cannons, which have a very wide span of release dates. They dropped in October in Asia. They released yesterday in London, and some U.S. spots have jumped the gun and started selling them despite the official 12/2 date for the U.S. Same goes for the Miami Hurricanes presented below. They come out in two weeks (11/29), but you might find some pairs sooner than that. For now, let’s enjoy couple new photos.

Official Nike LeBron 9 Cannon / Pre-Heat Drop Pushed Back »

Nikestore.com has jest updated their release schedule for the Nike LeBron 9. Most of the dates have stayed the same, but probably the most anticipated colorway, the so called “Cannon”, has been pushed back to December 3rd, 2011. The Pre-Heats have already dropped in Asia and Miami earlier this month, but they were expected to release on a wider scale on 11/11/11. Maybe that’s a good thing… so many other styles are releasing in such a short time span, now you’ll have more time to plan ahead. Keep checking back for updates and as always check actual release dates here, or better yet bookmark it.

Detailed Look at LEBRON 9 “Miami Hurricanes” Home PE »

Presented below is the Player Exclusive edition of the Nike LeBron 9 personalized for Miami Hurricanes basketball players. It’s their Home colorway. James built a strong relationship with UM when he and some Heat teammates played pick-up games with Hurricanes players on campus last summer. Now it’s one of three schools sponsored by Nike’s LBJ brand. You already saw the releasing version in detail, but this time it’s the PE. The main, and I think the only, difference is The U logo on the top of the tongue, and of course the fact you won’t be able to get them in a regular store. Photos and video courtesy of Stickie213.

Upcoming Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes” Home Edition »

Yesterday we posted a comparison between Miami Hurricanes Home Player Exclusive and General Release styles. The PE comes with the Canes’ logo on the tongue while the releasing version sports the LeBron James signature. The rest is the same, of course. Dressed to match the Hurricanes’ home basketball uniforms, this particular pair features their native team colors of White, Green and Orange. Orange accents really make them stand out starting with laces through Swoosh outline, 180 heel Air bag, pulltab, insole ending on the sole with the Orange LJ logo and carbon fiber plate. The Miami Hurricanes Nike LeBron 9 is expected to release soon, but no exact information is available right now. I will keep you posted once anything solid comes up. Detailed Look at Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes” PE »

Two images presenting the “Miami Hurricanes” colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 have surfaced the Internet. Both of them present the same White, Green and Orange style, but one of them comes with an actual University of Miami logo on the tongue while the other sports LeBron James’ signature like all regular models. According to our sources UM LeBrons will join Kentuckys and Ohio States and will become available to public in the upcoming weeks. The other two come out without school logos, so it’s unlikely for Miamis to come out differently. Once I hear something, it will be posted, for sure.

Nike LeBron 9 “Pre-Heat” Early Miami Release Info »

The official name for the Cannon colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 is finally kicking in. Last week when we posted detailed photos, for the very first time, we mentioned about the “Pre-Heat” name for the Cannon/Volt-Slate Blue-Team Orange style. We also mentioned that the NDC release slated for November won’t be the first chance to get the shoes in the U.S. Turns out, similar to last year’s South Beach drop, fans in Miami will get a chance to get them sooner than everybody else. Look for them at your local account starting October 9th. As usual, couple new pics after the break.
