Another Chance to Get Your LeBron 9 “Nerf” Custom Kicks »

The Nerf custom colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 has become quite a phenomenon. Shortly after the first pair has been created by Mache Custom Kicks, it ended up on eBay. The shoe has reached a whooping USD$4000+ listing price. Absolutely insane! In the end the Nerf 9′s were limited to 12 pairs worldwide and there’s a couple of new auctions available right now. I guess others have turned them into an investment of some kind, but seeing the current prices it’s hard to believe that a custom shoe has reached more hype than many of Nike’s Player Exclusive creations.

Nike Basketball Introduces Christmas Colors for LeBron James »

Special colors of Nike’s key signature basketball shoes will debut on the feet of Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Amar’e Stoudemire on Christmas day. Christmas day has become the canvas for special Nike Basketball colorways and the 2011 Christmas day games are sure to delight basketball fans around the world. Kobe Bryant will push the boundaries by wearing a purple and lime green version of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII System (Attack Fast) with special graphics representing the speed of the leopard with red laces. LeBron James goes a bit more traditional with a red upper, white midsole and green lace version of the LEBRON 9. Kevin Durant will wear a metalized-effect version of the Nike Zoom KD IV inspired by copper cookie cutters. And Amar’e will sport a predominantly green version of the Nike Air Max Sweep Thru paying heritage to New York’s Christmas Day uniforms. Nike LeBron 9 “NERF” Colorway by Mache Custom Kicks »

The latest installment of Kevin Durant’s Nike KD IV has become quite popular due to special make ups like Weatherman and Nerf. The NERF colorway of the Kevin Durant shoe created a frenzy throughout the sneaker community similar to what the South Beach did for the LeBron 8. The general idea, packaging and colorway of NERF’s is awesome. However, if you’re not into KD’s kicks, after all you’re on nikelebron.net right now, you can see how the Nerf theme fits into the Nike LeBron 9. The custom paint job executed by Mache Custom Kicks looks on point. If I didn’t know any better I’d say Nike is the one behind it. All it takes is a pair of Kentucky 9′s and additional $500 for the customization. You be the judge.

LeBron Debuts LeBron 9 “Ohio State” PE at OKC Charity Game »

It wasn’t an All-Star Game, but Oklahoma City sure treated it like one. A crowd of 12,874 at the Cox Convention Center saw stars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook (White team) duke it out with Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and James Harden (Blue team) in a surprisingly entertaining game, the White Team prevailing in overtime, 176-171. The hometown hero – Kevin Durant – recorded a triple-double with 42 points, 26 rebounds and 11 assists, but Mike Beasley also turned it up last night at by dropping 56 points while wearing the Nike Zoom LeBron IV. King James sported the Ohio State version of the Nike LeBron 9. It was a PE with OSU’s logo on the tongue.
