Last night the Zoom Soldier 7 has officially surpassed the LeBron 11 not only in playing time, but also in the number of colorways used by LeBron James this season. James went with the Galaxy edition, which was released in limited numbers last summer… mainly in China. It’s very hard to find a pair and some even consider these as PEs. It’s not often that we get to see LBJ wearing blue shoes, which are probably in violation with NBA’s uniform rules. Despite facing a possible fine… King James seemed fairly comfortable and unleashed a pair of towering tomahawks against the Bucks defense and earned himself a restful fourth quarter.
Two years ago Nike released a memorable Galaxy collection of sneakers inspired by the NBA All-Star Game taking place in Houston… home of NASA. They followed up with the popular “Big Bang” LeBron 9’s with a similar colorway for the PS Elite version, however, the later one was never released to public. Here’s a detailed look at the “Galaxy” LeBron 9 PS PE, which shows that all the original design elements were preserved in the Elite version. This includes the 3M detailing on the laces pull tab, the Galaxy theme on the inner lining as well as the glow in the dark outsole. Check out the new pics below.

The are many things to enjoy about the new Nike Zoom Soldier VII. It performs very well on courts, it’s not that bad too look at, and the colorways Nike is throwing at us have been amazing this year! Usually, there are no problems getting any Nike Soldier styles… unless we’re talking Player Exclusives… designed specifically for SVSM, CTK, and Fairfax teams, or special energy colorways for NBA players, which include special occasion shoes like Christmas or the All-Star Game kicks. There’s one exception, though. The Galaxy edition, which was one of the first Soldier 7 styles, dropped in China back in August. I had really high hopes for a broader release, but that never happened. That’s really too bad because it would be a great addition to any Nike LeBron collection, don’t you think?

Last year, Nike introduced the infamous Galaxy theme followed up by the Extraterrestrials this season for the NBA All-Star Weekend. It was a very influential moment for the sneaker industry. Seems like they’re going to use that for the future releases including this new Nike Zoom Soldier VII. Additionally, the shoes feature a very popular Blue and Orange make up, which was usually associated with the Cavs’ Hardwood Classic or the New York Knicks. The Galaxy Soldier VII is already available in China (style code is 599264-403). Stay tuned for updates on a possible U.S. drop.

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant receive special shoes commemorating Houston’s deep tie to space exploration. This includes a special edition of the Nike LeBron X. An indestructible force originating from fictional Nike Space Program (NSP) planet NSP-LJ6, LeBron James’ dominance was born from the volcanic surface in the planet’s mantle. He is rumored to have journeyed to earth on a meteor made of the galaxy’s hardest substance – black diamonds. The LeBron X All-Star will be released on February 15th.Read the rest of this entry »
It’s still uncertain if the Galaxy theme will be applied to the Men’s version, but new photos of the LeBron X GS have surfaced the Internet pointing to a possible release. A Men’s version is more than likely to happen especially after Kevin Durant is also getting a Galaxy colorway for his KD V. Last year the Galaxy 9’s featured a very bright Orange upper with a glow-in-the-dark outsole. This time it’s Orange and Purple textured upper with Green details and translucent outsole. Let us know how do you feel about these and if you think LeBron James will lace these up during the All-Star Weekend.Read the rest of this entry »

Check out Mache’s recent work, which includes 3 new styles. One of the shoes was inspired by the Mita Nike Trainer Dunk High.
