Nike has already answered most of the questions about the upcoming Nike LeBron XII during the official unveiling at World Headquarters earlier this week. One question remains, though, how will our shelves look like this season?! Seems that Nike Basketball is going back with Black drawer boxes for the LeBron 12. Additionallly, there’s a huge “The Twelve” logo on the top of the box and “LeBron James” on the side.Read the rest of this entry »
Ever since the introduction of LeBron James’ Playoffs series his shoes were titled as P.S., which stands for Post Season. The first two – LeBron VII P.S. and LeBron 8 P.S. – were slightly cheaper than their regular season counterparts. Two years ago Nike added the Elite tag, which added premium materials, but also boosted the prices… a lot! Now with the LeBron 11, Nike Basketball drops the P.S. label and the new LeBron James Playoffs shoes are simply titled as LEBRON XI Elite. Below, there are a couple of new images showing the retail version of the new Elites, which includes a new White drawer box with multi-colored front. Which version of the new LeBron 11 Elite is your favorite thus far?Read the rest of this entry »
Nike Basketball is paying tribute to the unique flavor of New Orleans with the 2014 NOLA Gumbo League Collection, including the LEBRON 11. Influenced by the flavors and stories of the Big Easy, Nike cooked up a bold mix of technical innovation, aesthetic flair and old-fashioned New Orleans traditions. Inspired by the fearsome alligator, the LeBron XI “Gator King” is a bold expression and a symbol of protection in New Orleans culture mirrored in graphic textures throughout the shoe. Invisible to the naked eye, hand-drawn patterns come to life as the Hyperposite bucket of the shoe glows in the dark. The shoes drop tomorrow so we take you through a very detailed look, which includes all elements… the shoes, the packaging and special glow in the dark effects.Read the rest of this entry »
Following the unveiling of the 2014 NOLA Gumbo League Collection prepared by Nike for the 2014 NBA All-Star Game we now have more details regarding the upcoming release. The “Gator King” LEBRON 11 will cost $220 joining the BHM edition, which also comes with an increased price tag. The shoes drop on Friday, February 14th… two days before the actual All-Star Game. I find it weird that we can’t get Christmas shoes before LeBron himself, but it’s ok to drop the ASG’s sooner. It should be the other way around. Here’s a detailed look at the LEBRON XI AS and its packaging, which includes a special box and tarot cards. Nice way to capture the essence of New Orleans!Read the rest of this entry »

You’ve seen the shoes. You already know the launch date and the price. Now it’s time for the final piece of the puzzle… the box. This year, Nike prepared a two-colored Black and Red drawer box with two L-crown-J logos upside down… kind of a yin yang style. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual black drawer box. The only time it was not black was the “tabula rasa” packaging for the LEBRON 9. Check out more looks at the new LEBRON XI box below and let us know if you like it or not.Read the rest of this entry »

The great majority of the Cork LeBron X’s come in regular brown Nike Sportswear boxes. However, Nike prepared an alternate packaging and marked some of the releasing pairs with a special upgrade. Among the people who bought Corks, those who found the “golden ticket” inside won a special golden mirrored box with the King James “Griffin” logo etched on the top. According to the information on the ticket there were only 21 sets available. Rumor has it that apart from the mirrored box there was a similar contest for the wooden box packaging, which was previewed a while ago.Read the rest of this entry »
