We’re only three weeks away from the initial drop of the Nike LeBron XI. The first to go is the Terracotta Warrior colorway, which drops much sooner in Asia, however, the King’s Pride will follow soon. The rumor has it that both will be somewhat limited, which brings us to the first truly General Release style – the Black and Red Miami Heat edition. It is also scheduled to release this October. It’s the perfect color scheme for King James to rock on the road matching the Heat uniforms. Look for these to hit Nike Basketball accounts on October 31st in Men’s and Kids’ sizes for $200.

We are steadily approaching the launch of LeBron James’ 11th signature sneaker. That’s a pretty good amount of signature models, trailing only you know who, and that isn’t even counting his secondary Soldier series nor his Asia exclusives like Ambassadors and ST Lows. The LeBron line took off for good and gained mass appeal along with the arrival of Jason Petrie as the lead designer and his first creation – the LEBRON VII. Equipped with a progressive approach to structural problem solving and the technical know-how to execute those concepts effectively, JP possessed all the teachable tools needed to be a successful designer, but it was his more intangible sense of style and an understanding of what the sneaker-buying public wanted from a LeBron shoe that took the LeBron VII to new heights. With the LEBRON XI right around the corner, only 47 days left :), what a better way to prepare than to re-visit some of the most innovative designs in recent years… all side by side… feature by feature. If you wanted a detailed comparison of all shoes from the Petrie Era then head over to Sneaker News’ SELECT and soak in some all the extra information… or continue reading for all the pics.

New photos just keep on coming. Just yesterday with got a change to see the Nike LeBron VII P.S. in close up, but now we get a much better look. Folks from kixfreaks.com just sent us some additional photos presenting the Black/White/Red colorway of LeBron James’ 2010 NBA Playoffs shoe. The similarity with the Air Max LeBron VII is quite obvious, but there are some nice cues. New details are amazing. Check out the new 7 P.S. logo on the laces and on the heel tab.

We already previewed the box of the Seven, but here’s something we did not know. Seems like the complete packing of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII consists of an additional dust bag with L23 logo on it. That’s very cool. At least we know that with the high price tag of $160 we are getting something pretty special. The official premiere is slated for October 24, 2009, but if you wanna secure your pair today go to osneaker.com as they have started a pre-order for LeBron James’ seventh signature shoe.

On October 24th, 2009 the Nike Air Max LeBron VII will premiere on a global scale. Of course the More Than a Game tour kicks will be available earlier than that, but 123 pairs for each city adds up to 1230 shoes and we all know what’s the deal with those limited sneakers… they tend to rise in value and usually they’re really hard to get. So if you don’t live close by any of the Ten MTAG Tour stops mark down October as the real Release Date. Ten long weeks of waiting left, but there’s really a lot to look forward to. First and foremost… all the new technology inside the Seven, like for example: basketball specific Max Air unit, and the use of the Flywire material (both first-timers LeBrons-wise). And since it’s a premium LeBron James shoe you can be sure the rest is going to be top notch. We profiled tons of pics over the weekend, but actual photos are always the best way to “feel” the shoe, so be sure to read the rest of this entry and see them all. Pics courtesy of KATC.

NIKE, Inc. today introduced the Nike Air Max LeBron VII, the latest and most innovative shoe in LeBron James’ signature line, at a global media summit in Akron, Ohio featuring James and performance footwear designer Jason Petrie. The Nike Air Max LeBron VII is designed to deliver maximum comfort and stability. It features an innovative, basketball-specific Max Air airbag unit, a cushioning first for the company, and a Flywire engineered upper using higher tensile-strength cable than in previous performance basketball shoes. “The new LeBron VII takes my signature line to a new level of innovation,” said LeBron James. “As the demands of my game evolve and increase, Nike consistently designs and develops shoes helping drive my on-court success.” The Nike Air Max LeBron VII will be available globally beginning October 24, with a suggested retail price of $160 USD. We featured this shoe last summer. It’s one of the early stage samples of the Nike Zoom LeBron VI. We profiled the evolution of The Six in our review plus here are some more shots of sample VI’s. Basically after the Zoom Power was scrapped this is how the sixth LBJ shoe was going to look like. It features a different color blocking as the upper part is White and the Toebox is Black. Also, the carbon fiber is much bigger as it reaches the toe box rand up front, while the production model wraps only the heel area. By the way… is you see this colorway online on ebay or etc. please watch out. This colorway was very popular fake wise as there are a lot of counterfeits out there. Do you prefer this color blocking or do you like how the final edition turned out? Pics courtesy of Vulkan.

Tomorrow LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will begin their post-season campaign advertised as “One Goal.” After a record-breaking, history-making regular season, the Cavs are set to continue their journey to bring home an NBA Championship. Kicks-wise this means LBJ will put aside his main sneaker for the season – Nike Zoom LeBron VI – and strap down with the latest signature shoe – Nike Zoom Soldier III. We already posted our first impressions about the ZS3 last week. And after several hours of balling it’s safe to say… it’s one of the best performance bball shoes in years! LeBron seemed to enjoy The Six, but with these kicks expect him to jump out of the gym even more, and prepare to witness plenty of head-above-the-rim power dunks. Today is the official premiere and you can buy this amazing pair of shoes online (links below) and at local Nike accounts. The third installment of King James’ Soldier series features heel and forefoot Zoom Air units and two lock down straps just as 20-5-5’s and Soldier I’s did. The most surprising thing is the weight… they are very light even though the cushioning setup consists of two Zoom Air bags. Here are couple stores selling them online and plenty of photos after the break: pickyourshoes.com | sneakerhead.com | sidelineapparel.com | eastbay.com | nikestore.com.
