Throwback Thursday: Nike Soldier “Desert Storm” Alternate »

The “Desert Storm” concept applied for the Nike Zoom Soldier is one of my favorites. Too bad it’s never seen the light of the day. Fitting the name of the Nike Zoom Soldier line, Nike cooked up and buried a very interesting colorway featuring a camouflage pattern and gum soles. As it usually happens with samples, there’s not just one Desert Storm make up, but at least two. The new version is a “non-metallic” alternate. Everything that was metallic-gold on the first pair is a non-metalic light brown material on the second. Continue reading for more comparison pics after the break. Detailed Look at Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) SVSM Home Alternate PE »

In order to conclude our review of SVSM High School past season’s shoes, we present detailed images of the Home edition in an alternate colorway. It’s already the fourth Nike Zoom Soldier IV personalized for LeBron James’ alma mater, which is up from the average of 2 per season. It all started with the House of Hoops exclusive (#1), followed by Home (#2) and Away (#3) PEs. This presented White & Gold (#4) style in a different approach to match SVSM Irish home unis. Detailed Look at Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) SVSM Away Alternate PE »

Long before SVSM Irish basketball team got to showcase their amazing Nike LeBron 8 PEs, they played in the Nike Zoom Soldier IV at the beginning of the season. The first colorway was released as an House of Hoops exclusive. However, the Home PE and the presented below Away PE never came out. After a blurry photo posted in January let’s take a closer look with these new pics. The Away ZSIV PE features a green upper with a gold midsole, gold midfoot strap and other logos. Overall a very nice combination. Made exclusively for St. Vincent St. Mary players though.

Nike Zoom Soldier IV “Christ the King” ver. 4.0 Alternate PE »

Apart from numerous variations of Home and Away colorways, Nike designed a special make up of the Nike Zoom Soldier IV for Christ the King High School basketball team. If you look at the tongue, you’ll notice the date of Feburary 5th, 2011 embossed instead of LeBron James’ signature lionhead logo. This shoe is a commemorative colorway marking CTK’s conference game against the Rice Raiders, a match up labeled as “The Greatest High School Basketball Spectacle” due to popularity and rivalry of both NYC based schools. This is the first time we’re seeing the shoes up close. There’s even a pair on ebay up for grabs.

Wearing Brons: Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) Alternate Fairfax PE »

Each of the LeBron schools has at least two colorways in order to match both Home and Away uniforms. In case of the Fairfax Lions we already showcases the Homes and Aways for their current team shoe the Nike Zoom Soldier IV. However, as if often happens there’s the third alternative style. There’s no close up available, but as you can see below the new version is predominantly Red with the team’s native colors complementing the look.

Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) SVSM Home and Away Alternate PEs »

You know the High School basketball season is in full swing when we are posting SVSM, CTK, and Fairfax pics left and right. As promised, we give you a look at SVSM’s alternate Home & Away colorways. The regular Away edition was released at House of Hoops back in September, and the other Home Player Exclusive was only issued to the Fighting Irish basketball players. The two new Alternate colorways is what the Saint Vincent Saint Mary ballers are currently wearing in games. Similar to the CTK Alternate, these new make ups offer a more colorful approach to team shoes.

Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) CTK Away Alternate Player Exclusive »

Unlike previous years, this season Nike equipped their LeBron James sponsored High Schools with not two, but four colorways of the team oriented Zoom Soldier line. We already profiled Christ the King’s Home and Away editions of the Nike Zoom Soldier IV. We also mentioned, that there are more colorways out there and today we present an alternate version of the Away pair. This version features more team colors of Maroon and Gold. There’s also a Home alternate, but right now there are no photos available. Similar story with the LBJ’s alma matter SVSM. More info on this matter as it develops. Thanks to bigsupa for the photos.
