gooden? hughes? cmon now.. i thought the thread said "all-time"? those guys didnt even last five years with the franchise..

how long have you guys been cavs fans? does the names daugherty, price, or even harper ring any bells at all?

i might get shitted on for this next comment, but with the NBA, i'm a player fan. NFL i've grown up to love the Raiders no matter what. Pops got me into football.

Jordan got me into basketball.

Growing up, i was a bulls fan b/c of jordan. Then Shaq was tearing it up in LSU and i became a Shaq fan when he signed with the Magic. Yeh i was cheering for the Bulls and the Magic….later became a Laker fan b/c shaq moved there. Lebron's senior year in HS is when i became a lebron fan.

Everything that was going on while he was in HS, was once a dream to me, so it was like i was witnessing someone live my dream and it was being broadcasted on tv. When he was drafted, i been a Lebron/Shaq fan so i was cheering for the heat and cavs. Shaq is past his prime now but i still root for him to not be totally done. Right now i cheer for the Cavs cuz of Lebron…of course i love the supporting cast. But if Lebron leaves cleveland, i'll be rooting whereever he goes. Just hope he doesn't go to boston. Oklahoma too…cuz their jerseys are horrible!

Well, I'm also a player fan. I won't lie I am into Cavs for any other reason.

When I was growing up Penny Hardaway was my idol… now LeBron. Simple as that.

I haven't been around long enough to see the past cavs I'm about the now but I started watching NBA games when LeBron came into the game. Watching LeBron play is great to watch becuase he is a legend in the making so LeBron will always be my number 1 player ever.

Man your post makes me feel old. I feel lucky to be able to witness Jordan in the making, shaq, and now lebron. To the younger cats that didn't get to see jordan…you should cop his dvds he got out, like Come Fly With Me. If you been around like me and watched Jordan play, ya know its way too early to say Lebron is the greatest. but he's certainly making a name for himself. Can't really compare the two ( i know they play completely different) until Lebron has retired and then you compare careers.

i am a diehard knicks fan while at the same time being a diehard lebron fan.

i dont have a favorite cavs player "of all time." lebron is the only player the cavs ever had that i ever liked. i can honestly say that as much as i HATED jordan and LOVE lebron, i gotta give respect where respect is due. i think lebron is the best in the game right now. but to say hes the greatest ever? hes got a good start, but this topic should be discussed 10-15 years from now. lebron doesnt even have a championship yet..or an MVP trophy. after hes gotten several of those, then we can open up the discussion sf wink Forums

lebron is who started me with the cavs when i heard about him in high school

but i do now really like him and daniel gibson and i was happy to get an autograph

i mean he hit 11 3's in the rookie/sophomore game last year and got the MVP. sf laugh Forums
