DO YOU THINK IT WAS A GOOD IDEA FOR LEBRON TO COME IN THE NBA WITH THE SAME NUMBER AS JORDAN KNOWING THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE SAY HE IS NOT LIKE JORDAN AND THINKS THE ONLY REASON HE HAS THAT NUMBER IS BECAUSE OF JORDAN AND HE'S TRYING TO BE LIKE HIM?

He wears 23 b/c jordan is his idol and its someone he respects the most.  He's not disgracing the number by trying to be him or 1 up him.  +1'ing him is changing your original number and wearing number 24.   j/k lol

people werent comparing his game to jordan when he first came in..people werent calling lebron the "next" anything.  his game resembles magic johnson with more power if anything.

the hype that surrounded him was similar to shaq's when he got into the league, it was about him being an impact player…

so him coming into the league using 23 wasnt that big of a deal.

the ones that were tagged with the "next jordan" moniker were harold miner, jerry stackhouse, and vince carter.
