Hi, mods please move this thread if this belongs in the wrong forum.

I play as SF and I'm 5' 8.5″ tall. I weigh 145 lbs. I wear a size 10-11. I am deciding between the LeBron V or LeBron VI. The LeBron V's are on sale for $79.99 in my favorite colors black/red/gold and the LeBron VI's are at $139.99( I want the Batman edition =]). I don't know which one is best for me.

I'm looking for:

-Comfort

-Traction

-Weight

-Durablitly

Which shoe is better in your opinion in these categories. I have read the reviews on the site but, I want personal feedback. I am a extremly quick player, I need shoes that will make me move faster :) . I currently am using the Air Jordan 1's Retro University Blue/Baby Blue. Oh one important factor, I need shoes that are hard to crease and easy to clean. Thanks. =]

The VI's because the V's have a thin ankle support trust me the Vl's are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn but

me I'm not playing in them so there might be a slight difference if you play in them but then V's on the other hand feels unique but I would try the VI's first then try the V's since they are on sale.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm planning on trying them both out in the store tommorow afterschool. I probably won't need that much ankle support anyways… never had top of the line basketball shoes but I plan to try out the phomposites as well when I get the chance too. I'm suppose to play SG but I don't know why my coach thinks I have a big potential to be a SF lol.

i would go with the v's. they dont have the greatest ankle support but its better than the support on the vi. also the the v's has better "grip". i find them a lot more responsive compared to the vi, when i play in v's theres no movement at all in the shoe. the traction also seems more tight than the vi. the only downside really is the vi are lighter than the v. but personally i would rather take better response than weight which you'll grow in to.

If you plan on balling in them get the V. It's easily the best all around shoe on the market. My only complaint about them… they are a little stiff due to the Phyposite. Some people experience pinky toe problems including me. However, there are ways to fix that.

ZLVI is more comfortable, but like stated in the review it's hard to lockdown your feet. I plan on using my ZLV laces with them on Wednesday so I will let you know how that would work out.

So to answer your question:

-Comfort – ZLVI

-Traction – ZLV

-Weight – ZLVI

-Durablitly – Both are equally durable I guess.

But ZLV is a superior basketball sneaker.

i would second that about the V.  better lockdown, still comfortable, little heavier, but more durable i feel.

Own the V's and have tried on the VI's a few times.  Yes, the VI is lighter but the low cut of the heel for flexibility is at the expense of stability.  I'm not in agreement with those who think the V has low ankle support.  I've never had a Lebron sig shoe that had such a feeling of total lockdown as the V (with the strap).  The IV comes close but its bulk becomes the difference maker.  I LOVE the V and honestly feel that the quilted pattern and other features make the early GR black/crimson/gold one of the most appealing… great pick up for $79.  BUY it at that price… you will not be disappointed!

I would go with the V – i think its the most complete shoe ive ever played in, the traction is great, comfort is only 2nd best to the VI, and only b/c the VI has that 2xZoom pillow in the heel.  the lock-down on the V is the best….ever.  have never twisted an ankle or come down awkward in them.  i've played in AZGs, IVs, Vs, and Vs – the Vs are by far the best.  i actually started buying really cheap ones of eBay and hoarding them so i have a pair to play in for the rest of my life….LOL

good luck, but you should really just play in a couple pairs to figure out what you want.

P.S. the Laces are real dope on the Vs too!!! loce the weighted tips….
