Folks at long-7 are back with scissors and this time around we have the Nike Zoom Soldier VII torn in pieces. It’s very interesting to see the guts, because the Soldiers usually come with front and back Zoom Air units, but seems like they’re getting smaller each year. I really liked the re-boot of the series initiated with the Soldier 6, and I feel this new version has improved a lot, but the thin Zoom Air bags really need to go. The Soldier 7 has a lightweight frame, offers a great fit, but the only thing missing is a more pronounced cushioning system. I hope Nike is not trying to cut costs here because the retail price has been raised, after all. Let me know if you tried the shoes on court and feel the same about the tooling or if you prefer the low court feel instead.
