The Nike Ambassador series originated as a cheaper alternative to LeBron James’ signature shoes build to withstand outdoor basketball. Designed in mind with Asian ballplayers, who spend most of their time on outdoor courts. That’s why Nike’s Ambassador shoes are usually equipped with XDR (eXtra Durable Rubber) outsole. By definition it’s a shoe that you can wear for everyday use and still play some ball when the occasion presents itself. The Nike Air Max LeBron Ambassador 5 looks like a legitimate performance oriented basketball shoe. There are a couple of interesting styles scheduled to be released in the upcoming months. See collections for Holiday 2012 & Spring 2013. Still, Nike is ready to unleash a new shoe called Nike Ambassador Point 5, which could be a lifestyle/outdoor version of the Ambassador 5’s. If the Nike LeBron ST Low remains exclusive to Asia/Pacific that’s 3 different LeBron signature shoes that you can’t get anywhere else.
