The Nerf custom colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 has become quite a phenomenon. Shortly after the first pair has been created by Mache Custom Kicks, it ended up on eBay. The shoe has reached a whooping USD$4000+ listing price. Absolutely insane! In the end the Nerf 9’s were limited to 12 pairs worldwide and there’s a couple of new auctions available right now. I guess others have turned them into an investment of some kind, but seeing the current prices it’s hard to believe that a custom shoe has reached more hype than many of Nike’s Player Exclusive creations.
