Closer Look: Nike Zoom Soldier IV TB Grey/Blue & Grey/Red »

Seems like there won’t be any 100% Zoom Air based shoes from the Nike LeBron line anytime soon. After the VII using the 360 Air Max cushioning, and the Soldier IV also accommodating the Air Max in the heel, the 7 P.S. was the only thing keeping hopes of Zoom Air fans alive. Today’s news mentioned about the 8 P.S. going Max Air as well, so the whole line up for the upcoming season will be Zoom-less… even the Ambassador 3.0.
That’s not necessary a bad thing, because, for example, the Zoom Soldier IV, which is a Zoom Air/Max Air combo, handles itself very well on the basketball court. I would even say it still feels like a Zoom Soldier shoe despite the new configuration. Several signature colorways (six to be exact) of the ZSIV have been already released to public. Additionally, various Team Bank styles are available at eastbay.com and nikestore.com. The two presented below are very similar to the “Cool Grey” pack of the Air Max LeBron VII. So far we’re only missing the Orange colorway.

Breaking News: Nike LeBron 8 P.S. – Coming Summer 2011 »

CounterKicks has confirmed the continuation of the LeBron Post Season footwear line with the launch of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. in Summer 2011. While no clear image is yet available of the model, we do have material and technical info for LeBron’s second post season branded shoe. The upper features Nike’s new Hyperfuse composite construction combining mesh, TPU and synthetic textiles. The midsole comes with a full-length Cushlon base with a large volume 180 degree Max Air unit at the heel. A solid rubber herringbone pattern outsole completes the package. We’ve been currently informed of four colorways that will become available to the public: Black/Del Sol-White, Black/Sport Red-White, White/Black-Sport Red and Varsity Royal/Black-White-Vibrant Blue. Releases second quarter of next year with first styles expected to hit in April 2011. The LeBron Post Season line launched last year as a lighter weight companion to LeBron James’ regular season signature shoe designed to compete for the “last 28 games of the season” implying the full number of potential NBA Playoff games on the path to win a championship. The Black/Del Sol-White colorway may be an early indication of a Miami Heat based model but no confirmations as of yet. More info to come as it develops.
