Despite LeBron’s Triple-Double it’s Over for Cavs. Boston Moves On. »

May 14, 2010 at 1:12 am | lebron-jamesnba-basketball

The Boston Celtics sent LeBron James and the Cavaliers back to Cleveland to admire all of their regular-season accomplishments. It’s the Celtics who are still in the chase for an NBA title. Despite his sixth career playoff triple-double, James is headed for another early offseason after winning a second MVP award and leading the Cavs to an NBA-best 61 wins and a home-court advantage they never got to use. James scored 27 points with 10 assists, and his 19 rebounds matched a career-high and were the most he’s ever had in a playoff game. But he also had nine turnovers. The LeBron watch began at 10:53 p.m., when Rajon Rondo dribbled out the last 14 seconds and the Celtics began celebrating. James is eligible to opt out of his contract this summer, a move that would make the two-time MVP and zero-time NBA champion a free agent and set off a scramble for his services from New York to Los Angeles and, of course, back in Cleveland.

The only good news for us is the Lebron VII P.S. will be on sale soon. Probably around $80.

lebron wont be goin to the knicks they are a worse team than the cavs. He either stays or goes to a team like the bulls where he has a chance of winning a ring. Money is not an issue espn says that if he stays in cleveland he gets 120mil for 5 years or 96 mil for goin to another year for 6 years. Its all about the ring now, either cleveland rebuilds the team and gets a new coach or lebron goes to the bulls or some similar team.

  • w1tness23

personally i want him to win in cleveland so he doesnt get labeled as had to go to another team to win.

  • ambokirik

win or lose i’m still a witness, and whatever team the King will land on i’ll support it….

  • Marcel

its just a total disgrace for him to loose this year. i mean, you would have thought the deepest team in the nba, his evergrowing abilities and his hunger because of last years loss could get it done, but again they loose. this time even against the celtics, which they lost against also two years ago…. im just really disappointed in the effort. imma always support king james and stay a witness, but that is just a shame. i really hope he stays with the cavs to show how determined he is to bring akron on the map. that would cement his legacy far more than some championship with someone else…

F**K LeBron! He looked like he gave up.

  • witness

Lebron won’t go any further with these “Cavs” even they have won the boston series.

    good point

Lebron stays, new coach, upgrade roster, and new season. Watch it happen people.

  • Torotrigger

bulls, heat, cavs – best options he has. if cle doesnt make some serious moves he cant stay. i wouldnt. love mo will, but you need a presence downlow. look at LA, PHX, Boston and Orlando – loaded with superstars and then you got bron and some guys…maybe jamison and will are solid, but they aren’t ray allen, pau, vince carter or amare.

  • Morale

He already lost championships, but this time he lost something more. his brand never fell so low, humiliating lost. what now? many changes. new number, new logo on products, the probably new image (no headband? The warlike tattoo on the neck??). the style of he?s plays even more spectacular ( power 360 dunk??), new coach and some new solid handy – man but not new team. Lebron in the next season has to show up as re-born Lebron. Nike will not leave him after such investments in his brand, so new shoes can also be spectacular.

Totally agreed its that or he goes to a team like the bulls

  • Rodolfo

Did anyone hear the crowd saying “New York Knicks” during a free throw…?? I thought it was kind of funny but Dwayne Wade and LeBron have been talking about they want to be on the same team, we will just have to wait

  • We’ll have to wait and see. Cause he had that chance when they were playing against Spurs. He blew it cause he is all excited his new born son and didnt focus the game at all and let it go. If he didn’t blow it and beat Spurs back in 2007 they would had been CHAMP! That had been must disappointed game I had ever seen. Cause I wanted them to have the championship. Then after that seems like after that 3 years of bad luck. I dont want them to have the bad luck. Cause seems like Cleveland are cursed.

No matter where Lebron ends up he will always be KING!!! I don’t think he’ll end up in New York but there is no way he’s stayin in Cleveland. There is nothing left in Cleveland for him. They got 1st place in the regular season the past 2 years and failed to make it to the finals both years. I will be a Lebron fan and support him where ever he ends up!!!

  • lakers-all-the-way

i told yall LeCHOKE james cant get it done when it counts thats kobe is and always be better than him. so %$@!$!

  • mOe23

Based on what LeBron says “It’s all about winning”…I probably feel that its not going to be a money issue after all now that teams like New York, Chicago, Nets have already geared up for this free agency hike. These teams have a capacity to land 2 superstars in a same team where James can probably can look and land to play for. If LeBron stays then i’ll be happy then, but if leaving can make James win a title and he thinks this could make his future better i’ll still be a LeBron fan whether in a Cavs, Knicks, Bulls, Nets or heat uniform.

  • JJduB23

man he did give up.. now i wished he would team up with wade in Miami he has disappointed the cavs fans too much.

The fans there are surely in doubt if they’ll accept him or not.. he is truly a disappointment this season and last year tsk. tsk tsk.

  • Cliff

i know ya’ll heard about the Delonte West fiasco just before game 4 when Bron was trashing on the court. If not, it’ll all make sense after you google Delonte West/Momma James…

  • James PHX Suns Fan

LeBron James is going to New York City Or Chicago, I see Him in Chicago with D-Rose. LeBron is Upset he is going through a NightMare Right Now. LeBron great Game but play with Bosh in Chicago or NYC I think. But lets see in these six Weeks what he decides.
