Upcoming Nike Air Max LeBron VII “University of Akron” First Look »

I was on my way out when I got these new photos from Marqueesole presenting the highly anticipated Akron colorway of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. WOW! Similar to the Kentucky edition, the AU VII was a part of our sneak peek two weeks ago. Nike is really giving us a hard time with all these great colorways. Enjoy the pics. Want them early? Nike Air Max LeBron VII University of Kentucky PE Detailed Photos »

We’ve just posted photos from the game, but thanks to Sole Collector, who were also the source of the first sneak peek, we get a detailed look at the University of Kentucky LeBron VII’s. I guess we will get to see a lot of new colorways of LeBron shoes from now on. While McDonalds’ special make ups would be reminiscent of the Fairfax PEs, the UK brings a refreshment to the line with their Royal Blue team colors. The Kentucky Nike Air Max LeBron VII features a Black Flywire upper with a glossy Royal Patent Leather wraparound and Royal Blue laces. A big White Swoosh gives them an additional pop. Also, there’s a UK logo on the top of the tongue. There’s no word about a possible release. Stay tuned for more information. For now let’s enjoy the new photos.

Wearing Brons – Kentucky Wildcats Debut Nike Max LeBron VII PEs »

Not so long ago we gave you a sneak peek at the Nike Air Max LeBron VII in a University of Kentucky colorway as they were rumored to become one of Nike LeBron sponsored schools. If you watched last night’s NCAA college basketball game between Vanderbilt and Kentucky you probably know that Wildcats’ players debuted their UK AMLVII Player Exclusives. University of Kentucky is the third college to receive their own LeBron shoes. University of Akron and Ohio State University are the other two. It’s nice to see them join the movement. Finally, we will get some Blue LBJ kicks. LeBron James was in the house to watch UK unveil their new special shoes.

LeBron James has agreed to a multiyear partnership with McDonald’s Corp., adding the global fast-food giant to a list of heavyweight corporate sponsors that already included Nike, Coca-Cola and State Farm. James filmed his commercial for McDonald’s earlier this month in Indianapolis. The new spot will debut during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7. The spot also features Orlando All-Star center Dwight Howard and Larry Bird, the Boston Celtics legend. Howard recently signed a three-year deal with McDonald’s worth a reported $3 million per year. Filmed at Conseco Fieldhouse, the commercial is a spin on the famous “The Showdown” ad that Bird made with Michael Jordan. In that commercial, which first aired during the 1993 Super Bowl. James has made previous Super Bowl ads for Bubblicious and State Farm. Can you imagine McDonald’s Nike LeBron shoes?!

Wearing Brons – Tom Cruise Does His Stunts Sporting LeBron VII’s »

In today’s episode of Wearing Brons we have a celebrity sporting LBJ’s latest kicks – Nike Air Max LeBron VII. Check out the eternally athletic Tom Cruise on the set of his latest flick. Tom does his own stunts for “The Hardy Men” (an updated version of “The Hardy Boys”) wearing the initial colorway of the LBJ7. Pretty cool. I guess if the shoes are good enough for Mr. Ethan Hunt to do stunts in… it’s good for us too. He probably needed good ankle support. The movie is slated for 2012. Shout out to JJ.

Throwback Thursday: Zoom LeBron VI Low Carbon Limited Edition »

The Black, White and Red ZL6 Low Limited Edition went a little bit under the radar if you ask me. They dropped at House of Hoops stores last summer, but you probably didn’t see them around much. In general the Low Top Six didn’t draw much attention… even though they did combine style and performance with their AF1-inspired looks and double stacked Zoom Air unit. Anyway the Carbon ZLVI Low features a similar color blocking as the mid version, but part of the midsole and the heel cup are made of Carbon Fiber. Enjoy the new pics.

Unreleased Nike Soldier IV Black and Red Wear Test Sample »

Before we were able to establish the real Nike Zoom Soldier IV two other sample models leaked to the Internet. One of them was this weird looking shoe. While other websites claimed them to be fake, new photos have surfaced and we stand by our assessment that they’re real. After all, even fakes don’t get created based on rumors, but on real factory samples. The shoe you see below is a Wear Test sample with no signature logos. Apparently they feature Nike’s Flywire and Lunar foam systems. The real ZSIV, which is coming to stores this summer, is looking better with each new batch of pics. What do you think about the unreleased version?

Kobe & LeBron MVPuppets Nike Basketball All-Star 2010 Tees »

You’ve probably seen Kobe’s and LeBron’s NBA All-Star 2010 shoes, but Nike has also made special MVPuppets ASG tees featuring Puppet Kobe and Puppet LeBron. While there is no word yet on when or where these are going to drop, we’ll let you know as soon as we hear something. We can only imagine that they’ll be available throughout the Dallas area during the All-Star festivities. What do you think?
