Those who have been following LeBron long enough, and even those who are new to the game, know about his special relationship with the city of New York. Since King James’ 4th season Nike debuts one or even more NYC themed kicks, each season. I like to think it has more to do with a high demand for kicks in the Big Apple more than LBJ’s desire to play for the Knicks. Let’s do some math. One ZLIV (Graffiti), Two ZLV’s (Yankees, Mr. Basketball), and Three ZLVI’s (White/Navy GR, Big Apple, Taxi). If Nike is going to follow up this pattern we can see a lot of NYC shoes in the upcoming months including this special low top version. So far we’ve had two (White/Navy, and MTAG NY). One of most memorable shoes from the group was definitely the New York Yankees edition, which was the first one to reach the public on a large scale. For our last post in 2009, let’s take a closer look at this special make up featuring Spike Lee’s autograph, who’s been know to wear a lot of LeBron James’ sneakers.
