Throwback Thursday: Nike Zoom LeBron 20-5-5 “Pro-City” NYC »

Those, who’s been with us for some time know that we worship the LeBron 20-5-5 around here. So it was only a matter of time before we featured LeBron’s first summer shoe in the latest edition of Throwback Thursday (episode #10). However, there’s a reason for such a love. Even after the release of the Soldier 3.0, the Zoom 20-5-5 is still the only full-length Zoom Air basketball signature shoe that was available to public for only $110. Full-length Zoom Air is still believed to be the best cushioning system ever made! Not so long ago we profiled the other NYC Pro City edition in our Nike Zoom 20-5-5 appreciation post. However, there are two versions of NYC 20-5-5′s and today it’s time to remind our readers about the White/Black/Silver colorway. It’s probably less special due to the fact it’s only a modified GR, but still the NYC on the back and the Pro-City logo on the upper strap are definitely a nice touch.

Preview of the Upcoming Nike Air Max LeBron VII NYC World Tour »

The More Than a Game World Tour is on its 2 weeks break between the Europe leg and the return to the U.S. Nike and LeBron James will be back visiting New York City on the 19-20th of September, 2009. That’s also when the next limited edition of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII is scheduled to drop. The NYC VII labeled as “Fearless” will be dropping on Saturday 9/19 at the House of Hoops in Harlem. As usual it features a different inset from the film – LeBron shouting to his teammates – and a different name on the back of the shoe. Nike will make 123 pairs of the AML7 shoe available at retail.
