Zoom LeBron VI Low Supreme Dunkman Drops at House of Hoops »

The Dunkman edition of the Zoom LeBron VI Low, which dropped couple weeks back in the Far East, is available now at all House of Hoops locations in the U.S. After the recent opening of Cherry Hill NJ House of Hoops (HOHNJ) that means four different spots. The Dunkman theme used on this shoe is a little different from what we are accustomed to see. Instead of the Mean Green/Grey combo we get a Black/Stealth base with prominent Volt yellow details and big Dunkman logo on the sides. Definitely a nice option for LeBron James enthusiasts. Props to RaNdZ4937 for hooking us up with nice pics!

Some trends are irresitable. I thought we would have been able to withstand without a Twitter account, but that’s impossible. NikeLeBron.net has joined Twitter! What is Twitter, you ask? Twitter is an online service that enables you to broadcast short messages to your friends or “followers.” It also lets you specify which Twitter users you want to follow so you can read their messages in one place. All Twitter messages are limited to 140 characters, so each message can be sent as a single SMS alert. So yeah, it’s perfect for notifiing fans/readers about new posts and other content on the website. Also, all those things that for various reasons couldn’t be mentioned in a separate post have a decent outlet now. There’s really not much else to say as I’m sure most of you are familiar with the process. Join us now – CLICK HERE – as we will be able to share more information on LeBron James signature shoes… and much more.

Throwback Thursday: Nike Zoom Soldier White / Purple from Pou Chen »

The shoes you see below were introduced way back at Nike’s Future Footwear presentation during the 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas. Since then… any trace of the shoe has simply vanished. Featuring White, Purple and Gold colors the Nike Zoom Soldier is one of those rare samples that has never made it into production. If you look closely at the tags it comes from Nike’s Pou Chen factory in Taiwan. Pou Chen Corp., a major Taiwanese transnational shoemaker, opened the factory in 1993 at a cost of $100 million and produces more than a million shoes a month exclusively for Nike. Some of the rarest kicks with the Swoosh logo are made there. Too bad we don’t get to see most of them. More photos after the break.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII Artist Series Shenyang by Ray Lei »

Today, Nike introduced the fifth shoe in a series of the More Than a Game Artist Collaboration. At a presentation that took place during Nike’s grassroots activities in Shenyang, Ray Lei gave James a uniquely designed pair of Air Max LeBron VII shoes. Lei used Chinese warrior images on the shoe to symbolize loyalty and bravery. He also represented LeBron’s loyalty by using symbols personal to him: “Irish” and the green color represent loyalty to his high school team, St Vincent St. Mary; “23″ stands for his loyalty to his team; and “330″ (his hometown area code) signifies loyalty to Akron, Ohio, where he grew up. In order to connect the shoe back to Shenyang, cloud and water elements were used in the design, as they frequently were on the uniforms of the Qing dynasty. The rose is Shenyang’s city flower. Additionally fog patterns were infused into the design, a reference to Chinese fairy tales in which troops would appear from fog before battle – similar to LeBron’s signature chalk dust before each game. Ray Lei is a 22-year-old graduate of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and is currently taking masters classes with Professor Wu Guanying, the father of animation in China. His talents encompass a range of mediums, including cartoon, graphic design, illustration, short comic, graffiti and Hip-Hop music.

Nike and basketball superstar LeBron James continued their world tour at their second Chinese stop in Shenyang today. In each of the ten cities the tour will visit, Nike will make 123 pairs of the Air Max LeBron VII shoe available at retail. The limited-edition shoe aesthetic is white with green trim, inspired by the school colors of Saint Vincent-Saint Mary High School (SVSM) in Akron, Ohio, where James played basketball. The Shenyang limited edition style is available at the Shenyang Zhongjie Fashion Plaza Nike Store and the Shenyang Zhongjie Yundonghui Nike Basketball Door while supplies last. Each limited edition style includes an image inspired by one of James’ six pillars or personal credos – Passion, Fearless, Tradition, Community, Family and Loyalty. The Shenyang style represents “Loyalty” and has an image of the SVSM school mascot, an Irishman.

Breaking Down the Zoom LBJ Ambassador. Summit Lake Hornets Showcase. »

LeBron is sporting the Ambassador II in China so we thought it’s a good moment to remind our readers about the first installment breaking down some of its specifics. We chose the commemorative colorway representing the Summit Lake Hornets – LeBron’s childhood basketball team. First of all it’s a LeBron James signature shoe. Let’s not forget about that. The number of featured LeBron logos is the best proof. Second of all it’s cheap (it’s a $90 basketball shoe), which doesn’t happen a lot when we’re talking Nike signature sneakers. Finally, it was designed with China ballers in mind so don’t be surprised to see LBJ promoting it in the Far East instead of U.S.A. In general the Zoom LBJ Ambassador is a very nice looking shoe. All released colorways were nicely executed and you can wear them on and off the court. It has Zoom Air, so it should be okay to play basketball, right? Technically… yes, but the Low ST also had Zoom Air cushioning and still I wouldn’t like to play in them the whole season. For casual balling with your friends and random pick up games on the blacktop… you’re good to go. The Ambassador is fairly comfortable, but the only major downside is lack of any inner bootie and there are a lot of sharp edges inside of the shoe. The shoes are triple-stiched, which is nice, cause it makes them very durable, but without any taping or really thick socks you can feel there’s just not enough padding inside. If you have a chance try them on and let’s wait and see if the mentioned issues have been resolved in the upcoming Zoom LBJ Ambassador II. Enjoy the pics below. Thanks to KIX-FILES.com.
