Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier III Almost NBA Finals Edition »

The ZS3 Finals edition dropped six weeks ago at selected Nike accounts. If the Cleveland Cavaliers would have made it all the way to the NBA Finals we probably would have been fighting for a chance to buy these. However, things went in other direction and the shoes hit clearance right away. Still, it’s a nice shoe. Take away the almost Finals aspect of the Zoom Soldier III and you get an unique version of a very good basketball sneaker. Some say the Graffiti on kicks is out, but fortunately there are two big straps to cover it. The rest is well placed – White upper, Black midsole, translucent outsole, and Gold highlights. LeBron was supposed to be Repping’ the East in the Finals, but hopefully he will get another shot soon. Thanks to RaNdZ4937 for new close ups.

Head to Head: Air Max LeBron VII vs. Nike Shox VC II »

When the design presenting the Nike Air Max LeBron VII was unveiled some of the most experienced Nike heads made an interesting remark about hot the new LeBrons look a lot like Nike Shox VC II – Vince Carter’s second signature shoe. Ironically enough it was one of several Nike shoes personalized for LeBron James when he was playing at SVSM in Akron. Fortunately, one of the LeBron collectors – Balalun – was king enough to share his photos featuring both SVSM-inspired LeBron VII and Shox VC II in a head to head comparison. Apart from the obvious differences like Max Air vs. Shox and slightly different colors placement there really is something to this theory. The midsole has a similar pattern and most of the waves on the upper do reflect one another. See for yourself. Click the title for more pics.

Preview of the China Exclusive Nike Air Max LeBron VII »

After taking a break last year Nike has decided to release a commemorative China colorway with the Air Max LeBron VII. They did that with the III, IV, V, and even the Soldier II, but The Six was skipped. Usually China exclusive means White/Crimson base with Gold or Silver details. This time, however, things are backwards. The upper features plain White and Gold colors. We were rooting for such a colorway on a LeBron shoe for a very long time, but something is not right here. Maybe we need to see better pics, cause right now it’s at the bottom of my wanted list for the next season. Release date remains unknown at the moment.

Nike introduced the sixth in a series of limited edition styles of the new Nike Air Max LeBron VII as they continued the MTAG world tour at their third Chinese stop, Shanghai today. This exclusive shoe aesthetic is white with green trim, inspired by the school colors of Saint Vincent-Saint Mary High School (SVSM) in Akron, Ohio, where LeBron James played basketball. The Shanghai limited edition style is available at the Nike Shanghai Store and the Shanghai New World Department Store Nike Basketball Door while supplies last. Each pair includes an image inspired by one of James’ six pillars or personal credos – Passion, Fearless, Tradition, Community, Family and Loyalty. Nike Air Max LeBron VII Artist Series Collab Shanghai by Sic »

Presenting the sixth in the artist series of More Than a Game custom sneakers, local artist Sic gave James an uniquely designed pair of Air Max LeBron VII shoes represnting the city of Shanghai. Sic is a leading Chinese graffiti artist who started her work on buses and police cars before moving on to commercial and worldwide events. She has participated in several projects with Nike in the past. For this collaboration, Sic was asked to design a one-of-a-kind shoe that represents Shanghai, choosing to focus on one of LeBron’s pillars – Family. Sic began with a “Shi Ku Gate”, iconic in Shanghai’s neighborhoods and community life. People who reside in these communities live, work and socialize together. Most doorknobs in these communities are embossed with a lion head, which has been placed on the heel of the shoe. This symbolizes prestige and status, while also representing LeBron.

Upcoming Nike Air Max LeBron VII Woven aka “Red Carpet” »

One of the colorways presented at the Media Summit in Akron was the White/Black/Aqua version aka “Red Carpet,” which caused quite a stir. Rumor has it they are gonna drop shortly before the global premiere of the initial version, but things are not set in stone just yet. Actually, it is the same colorway, which we used to announce the real Nike Air Max LeBron VII back in July. The Woven version is called Red Carpet, which is a a nod towards LeBron’s celebrity lifestyle. Both colorway and materials used on this shoe reflect that part of his life. There’s not much red on it, but the overall experience is nice. In our opinion the VII is more of a basketball type of a shoe (looks-wise), opposed to the VI, but with the right colors placement… they can become casual friendly. So, which version are you looking forward to the most? Initial Black/White/Red, Black/Gold, White/Navy, one of the MTAG’s, or the one below?
