MVP Six – Nike’s Tribute to King James – Actual Photos »

We get tons of emails with questions about the release of the Nike Zoom LeBron VI MVP Edition. Unfortunately, other than what’s been already posted there is no new information available at this point. The MVP Six dropped on 5/5 at NDC and sold out within couple hours. Afterwards, several fans received a “unfortunately not all of your item(s) were available” message from the store, which was a bummer. Good thing it’s not the end of it. More pairs of this special ZLVI colorway will drop on 5/30 at nikestore.com, House of Hoops stores, and possibly selected NikeTowns. Also, fans in Asia will get their batch of MVP’s. Since we have almost 3 weeks of waiting left, we’d like to share some new photos with our readers. There are couple of nice angles presenting more details of the graphic applications (f.e. 08-09 on the back collar). Shout out to SneakerVault and oneonenine for help with pics. Highlights from LBJ’s 47-Point Outburst. Greatest Shooting Game Ever? »

In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals LeBron had 47 points on 25 shot attempts. He made 15 and was 5-of-10 on 3-pointers. There’s been more efficient performances in playoff history, but not with 47 points, probably. In that famous Game 5 against the Pistons two years ago when LeBron put up 48 points, he did it on 18-of-33 shooting and was 10-of-14 from the line. He actually went just 2-of-3 on 3-pointers that night, though it seems like more in my memory. In that game he got a lot of points getting to the rim. In his career-high 56-point game against the Raptors in 2005, LeBron was 18-of-36 and 8-of-16 on 3-pointers. Earlier this season he had that 55-point game against the Bucks when he had the greatest 3-point shooting night of his career when he went 8-of-11. But he was 16-of-29 overall. On Saturday was still better, plus he threw in a couple of wild shots inside the 3-point line, including a one-handed floater when I don’t think he even looked at the rim. So you can make the strong case that tonight was the greatest shooting playoff game of his career. What are you thoughts? Check out complete highlights below (in High Definition). Cavaliers Complete the Sweep over Hawks. Delonte Joins the Army. »

On Monday night in Atlanta, the Hawks gave the Cavaliers their stiffest test of the entire postseason ? holding them to 43 percent shooting, with Cleveland shooting just 53 percent from the stripe and committing 18 turnovers. However, thanks to their suffocating defense they completed a four-game sweep of the Atlanta Hawks to advance to the conference finals. LeBron James followed up his Herculean 47-point performance with a game-high 27 on Monday night. LeBron was 9-for-22 from the floor, with eight boards and eight assists. Delonte tied his playoff high with 21 – going 7-for-13 from the floor, including a massive baseline dunk early in the fourth quarter. West donned a pair of James’ signature sneakers (Nike Zoom Soldier III) and showed he was worthy. “You saw I had LeBrons on? It was the shoes,” West joked. Four of Cavs’ starting five wears LeBrons now (Big Z – ZSII; Delonte, Mo, and LBJ – ZSIII).
