Similar to the Story of The Six, Nike Basketball launched a new feature about the latest Nike LeBron shoe. Ken Link – Nike Footwear Designer Director – describes what was the inspiration behind the making of the third version of the Nike Zoom Soldier – LBJ’s Playoff sneaker. If you’re interested what are the technical specifics of the ZSIII, what was LeBron James’ influence on the design and how his personality was incorporated into the shoe… watch the clip below. It’s really a crazy shoe to hold in your hand because it feels so different from any other LBJ court kick that they’ve ever put out. The VI certainly strayed the farthest from what we were used to but it still had that feeling of bulk to it. The SIII is so streamlined and light… it’s weird because you may want to consider it cheap when really it’s innovative! That’s a hard thing to adjust too as Nike keeps moving forward with the lighter/stronger materials.
