Nike Zoom LeBron James VI Retro CavFanatic Colorway »

On the 7th of January, The Cleveland Cavaliers wore new retro jerseys honoring the franchise’s fan social network CavFanatic.com. Featuring true Superman colors, the Alternate Hardwood Classic Nike Zoom LeBron VI is a very special sneaker. So far, King James wore this shoe twice, but just like the Chalk represents the present, the HWC VI is all about the past. Great addition for Cavs’ fans. Good news, it’s one of the upcoming colorways slated for release at the House of Hoops next month. Although, the upcoming VIs will be more limited than previous models, fans can’t complain about finding the right colorway. New photos via SC and HK-Kicks.

Nike Zoom Soldier 2 Summit Lake Hornets Detailed Photos »

Now this is a deserving Summit Lake Hornets sneaker! Don’t get me wrong the SLH Six is very nice, but the execution could be much better. Look at this amazing Zoom Soldier II colorway. A hornet sitting on the heel pull tab… check. Summit Lake logo on the other side of the tab… check. At least we know who this sneaker was made for… unmistakable. Of course the Black/Purple/Aqua colors are all in the right places too. Especially the camo sole, with huge Dunkman logo on it, is what gives them a pop. The Zoom Soldier II Hornets edition dropped exclusively at NDC earlier this month, but only size 16 is available as of today. Thanks for the detailed photos to T21D!

King James Still Wants To Be in the 2010 Dunk Contest »

header dunk contest King James Still Wants To Be in the 2010 Dunk Contest
James is still hedging a little on his proclamation that he wants to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest next year, but he didn’t say it in the heat of the moment. He feels the contest has “gotten out of control” and he plans to recruit some of his fellow superstars to take it back. “It’s got to be cleaned up, they have to go back to maybe the ’80s with [Michael Jordan] and Dominique [Wilkins],” James said. “You can’t have so many chances at dunking the basketball. The whole anticipation of a dunk contest is one or two tries and that’s it. If not you get (a score of) 30 or 35. Guys are getting 10 opportunities to do the same dunk, by the time they complete it, it is like … ‘OK, we’ve seen it.’” Over the last several years, rules have been changed to allow numerous chances plus props and other trickery that have taken the emphasis off execution. That, James said, was what he’s been avoiding all these years. “Right now I am going to be in it; I won’t be the only big-name guy, I’ll make sure I get a few guys,” James said. “I’m making my game plan.” Source: cleveland.com.
Who would you like to see along LeBron James to participate in the dunk contest?

Summit Lake Hornets Zoom LeBron VI New Photos »

As we reported last week, the Nike Zoom LeBron VI Hornets Edition has popped up at PYS.com. Most of popular sizes are already gone, but don’t worry… those who didn’t get their pair, please be patient, because they will drop later at other Nike retailers. One way or another, they are expected to stay limited, so it’s doubtful the SLHs will become a GR. While the inspiration behind this colorway is obvious for those, who are familiar with LeBron James’ road to stardom, the execution still lacks few minor details. The biggest letdown is the logo behind the L23 tab. After seeing customized logos on other pairs (Chalk, OSU, Yankees, The LeBrons), we hoped Nike will continue to tune it up. Unfortunately instead of a Hornet hidden inside, there’s the regular Dunkman logo. You can review all known logos as a part of our ZLVI Fake Guide. New photos thanks to spinalbeatz of ISSForums.com.
