Another Look at ‘The LeBrons’ – WISE Nike Zoom LeBron VI »

We’ve profiled all “The LeBrons” VIs several times already, but I guess there’s no harm in posting new pics especially such nice ones. This time we wanna focus on the Wise edition, cause it’s probably the most unique pair from the bunch with its wool details (toebox, swoosh) and the plaid body. Unfortunately the only place to get it now is ebay hoping for a good deal, but since the hype settled down a bit the prices dropped a little bit too. NBA Kicks Off. Cavaliers Loose. Zoom LeBron VI Debut »

39 combined turnovers doesn’t say a good game that’s for sure. I guess both Cleveland and Boston are still a little rusty. Just like in their last meeting, when James outscored Pierce 45-41 in that man-on-man shootout, Pierce’s team got the better of James’. The Celtics led 86-80 with 1:15 left when Mo Williams, Cleveland’s big offseason acquisition, hit a 3-pointer from the left side. Williams then grabbed the rebound of Leon Powe’s miss, but James drove through traffic to the basket and couldn’t muscle the ball into the basket. Pierce missed a jumper, and after James got the rebound he was fouled hard going to the basket; he missed the first of two free throws, cutting it to 86-84. Pierce cleared the full-court pressure with a long pass to Powe under the basket for the dunk and foul. After his missed free throw, James got another chance at the line, this time with the Cavaliers down 88-84 and 4.8 seconds left. He missed the first, and Ray Allen hit a pair of free throws to clinch it. Pics from the game after the jump. James wore the Zoom LeBron VI in the White and Navy colorway.

New Zoom LeBron 6 Unseen Colorways – OSU, SVSM, and More »

More of cool stuff from the “Story of the Six” video. If you saw the clip, you probably noticed a shoe wall behind both Ken Link and LeBron James. LeBron’s wall features his old kicks, but there’s something special there too, for example an All Black Zoom LeBron V Sample. On the other hand “Kenzo” is all about The Six. He unveiled some of the PE colorways including the SVSM and the OSU, plus one more sample that we don’t have a name for yet (3rd pic, maybe Remix?). Also, there are both GRs – Black/White/Red and White/Navy and one of the ZLVI Lows, but there’s no clear picture. Source: nikebasketball.com.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI Concept Designs by Ken Link »

In the video posted few moments ago there are tons of extra footage. One of the surprises waiting to be discovered were the initial Zoom LeBron VI design sketches created by Ken Link – lead designer of LeBron’s line. The second picture corresponds with a so-called 2nd stage sample, that we profiled back in August. See the whole ZLVI evolution after the break.

Nike Basketball Launch a New Feature – Story of the Six »

LeBron James kicked off the NBA season showcasing, of course, his latest signature shoe – Zoom LeBron VI. Check back in a while for the pics from the game. For now let’s focus on the shoes alone. Nike Basketball launched a new section on their website dedicated to, as they call it, “The Six”. Apart from some detailed shots presenting the VI’s there’s a commercial preview – “Chalk” – which will air in November and a bonus video featuring King James and Ken Link telling the story of the six. The LeBrons Pack Release Recap – Shoe Gallery Miami »

Shoe Gallery was of the six locations releasing “The LeBrons” past weekend. While we know NYC and LA drop zones were lined with resellers doing everything to cop multiple pairs… and the Cleveland mishap also left nothing but a bad memory… seems like events in Chicago and Miami went rather well. Each store received 25 of each character, which adds up to 100 shoes per store and 600 total (well 580 to be exact ;)). Shoe Gallery prepared a corner section of its interior and dedicated it to the Lebroin VI release. Packed with illuminated shelf space, a basketball hoop and even a glass casing that served as a shrine to the four infamous Lebron character figurines. As for the hoop – well, all customers who bought a pair of the Lebron VI’s got one raffle ticket good for the drawing to win one of the four Lebron character figurines. For every pair you purchased, you had a chance to take one shot and if you made the shot, you got two more raffle tickets, which would increase your chances to win one of the figurines. Even though it was a nearly impossiible shot given the tiny hoop and the tiny basketball; 2 or 3 people made the shot. The first person in line was a guy named Jerry. He was out in front of Shoe Gallery camping out since early Thursday. As soon as 10AM came in and Shoe Gallery opened its doors, he went straight for the ‘Business’ and ‘Wise’ colorways and took home a pair of each. Those two were definitely the crowd-favorite and the original 25 slimmed down fairly quick. The other colorways followed suit shortly after. Source: nicekicks.com | the305.com.

LeBron James and “The LeBrons” Fiasco at Next in Cleveland »

All the releases of The LeBrons went smoothly on Saturday. Apart from the serious camping going on all went as planned. However, on Sunday, in Cleveland – LeBron’s home city – things did not go well. It was supposed to be special, cause LeBron James was expected to make an appearance at the Next. He did, it was special, but for a whole another reason. Well, I just got settled in from the Lebron VI event in Cleveland, Oh at Next. What a joke it was. I was 9th in line and didn’t get my size in any of the shoes. Within the first 10 people there was only one other guy and myself that needed a size 12 or higher. So we thought we were good. Think again! Right before they let us in to buy the shoes we find out Lebron has had the staff pull 14 pairs of the 100 that were advertised and supposed to be sold. They pulled all the size 8′s, all the size 12′s, all the size 13′s, and all the size 15′s. Needless to say that they first guy in line didn’t even get the size 12 that he was wanting because this a**hole decided to screw his fans again. There were a ton of pissed off people and they even let two people in before all of us that never waited in line that purchased shoes.

To all who don’t believe me…. you know nothing beacuse you were not there. This is not a story at all. This is the truth. First off I never even saw Lebron and I’m not sure if he ever showed up. They said (the store) he asked for the shoes to be pulled. I also heard that the guy’s from 881 tried to pull more pairs while the event took place. The FIRST guy walked in and they didn’t have a size 8, 12, 13, or 15 in any of the sizes. Is that proof enough? To be honest I was not there to see Lebron. I was there for my one pair of shoes in my size. I talked to the 2 Nike reps onsite about the situation and expressed the way I felt about how things went down. I wasn’t a jerk i just let them know that it wasn’t right. She was willing to listen and asked if she could get my contact info. I gave her my business card with my email and cell # on it along with my size. Now I am just wondering if I will get a call or if that card made it to the bottom of the trash can outside the store. I’ll probably go with the trash can version.

Once again, Next would like to thank all those people who came out to support the event. Especially those people who endured the cold and camped out the night before the event. I understand that there is some disappointment that not all 100 units were available at the time of the release. Unfortunately, Nike had a last minute request for 16 units(4 sets) of shoes that they had to remove from our allocation. It was not something that had been planned, nor was it something that we at Next could control. I understand that some of you were not able to get a shoe because of this, and for that we apologize. Again, it was not something that we at Next could control. Despite that, we hope everyone had an enjoyable time.

Upcoming 346526-101 White/Black-Varsity Red ZL6 Preview »

The Nike Zoom LeBron VI is slowly making its way to the stores and some of them have started selling earlier. Also, you can find a few pairs floating around on ebay… that’s for those who can’t wait to get them. Here on NikeLeBron.net we give you an in-depth preview of LeBron James’ sixth signature sneaker in a classic Black, White and Red colorway. That’s exactly the same version as the one coming out opposing the 3rd stage sample. Props to our friend Randy for helping us out with the photos. By the way… the first impression we’ve been receiving about “The SIX” is very positive. Several users stated that although they look like boots they are indeed very light (LeBrons-wise). We will measure that as soon as possible so expect a quick-fire update in the weightionary section very soon.
