Special LeBron USA Basketball X Beijing Olympic Games Wallpaper Pack »

As exciting as they were the 2008 Olympics are over. LeBron James – one of USA Basketball captains – led the Redeem Team back to the Gold. Just like when he’s playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers King James was the core of the U.S.A. Team. During the Beijing Olympic Games he started in all eight games and averaged 24.8 minutes (#1 on the team), 15.5 points (#2), 5.3 rebounds (#3), 4.75 assists (#2), 2.375 steals (#1), 1.0 blocks (#1) and shot 60% from the field and 46% from beyond the arc. Once again he proved to be the most complete player in the world, this time on an International stage. USAB Gold Medal Shoes Pack with LeBron James’ Nike Zoom LeBron 6 ‘United We Rise’ »

LeBron James and the USA Basketball Men reclaimed the gold yesterday and they did that in style. You can make the argument that this was the biggest win in U.S. Olympic men’s basketball history to get back on top again. Regarding the shoes involved, the Olympics has always been a great chance to promote kicks. As we announced before King James decided to give the upcoming Nike Zoom LeBron VI a special treatment and wore them in the Gold Medal Game. However, that’s not the only thing special about the new LeBron 6. In order to commemorate USA Basketball achievement Nike is said to release an exceptional “Gold Medal Shoes Pack”. Of Course Zoom LeBron VI “United We Rise” included along with Nike’s other top models. This is a very brave move by Nike to drop the newest sneakers long before their actual premiere. However, since it’s not a mainstream release they will be extremely limited. Probably about 100 pairs in the U.S. (most likely House of Hoops) and second that in Asia. Nevermind its limitedness, this is gonna be a great chance to own these bad boys three months before anybody else. Redemption Mission Accomplished. LeBron Gets the Gold! »

For Jason Kidd, Team USA’s oldest player, and LeBron James and Chris Paul, two of its youngest, Sunday’s victory was the culmination of years of work toward redemption for the U.S. and the NBA. “That’ll probably go down as one of the greatest Olympic games ever,” LeBron James said after Team USA’s thrilling 118-107 victory over Spain earned it the gold medal Sunday. The moment he received his medal, James reached down, grabbed it and stared at it. He held it inches from his eyes and just gazed at it, transfixed. And when they handed him a bouquet of red roses, he held them to his nose and inhaled two huge breaths, the sweet smell of victory filling his nostrils and lungs. It was an overwhelming sight to behold, the possession of those gold medals made so much more fulfilling because of what had transpired on the court for 40 immensely entertaining minutes. The members of Team USA didn’t just win their gold medals, they earned them against the first opponent that finally gave them a game. They didn’t dominate in the final game; they performed. They didn’t nearly blow it; they closed it out. And when all the members of Team USA sat together after taking over that podium, their faces showed pure, unadulterated pride and gratification — a gratification that wouldn’t have been nearly as strong if they hadn’t had to face such a tough final test and pass it with flying colors. “What you saw today was a team bonding together, facing adversity and coming out with a huge win,” Bryant said. Said James: “If it wasn’t for the determination and willpower we had, we wouldn’t be back on top of the world, which is where we are.” Anthony, who along with Wade, James and Carlos Boozer were the only returnees from the 2004 U.S. Olympic team, summed it up: “We were at America’s lowest point in ’04, and to have put USA Basketball back at the top of the world, it couldn’t feel better.” The 2008 team was a Redeem Team in every sense, and the sights and sounds of that redemption — both during the game and after it — will last each of them a lifetime. USA Men Overpower Argentina and Advance to Gold Medal Game »

The 2008 U.S. Men’s Olympic Team watched its 30-11 first quarter lead dwindle to six points late in the second period before regaining control in the second half with a balanced scoring attack that saw seven U.S. players finish in double figures to help the USA overpower Argentina 101-81 and advance to Sunday’s gold medal game Friday night at Wukesong Arena in Beijing, China. “It’s always a great honor to play Argentina,” said USA and Duke University head coach Mike Krzyzewski. “Internationally, over the last decade, they have been as good as anybody in the world. They play with the heart of champions, and we knew we were in for a tough game today. Our guys were ready to play and we feel really good to beat Argentina by 20 points. I’m pleased with that. I’m certainly pleased with playing in the gold medal game.” Info via USAB.

Nike Zoom Soldier II ’08 LeBron James Skills Academy PE »

One year ago when the LeBron James U.S. Skills Academy took place a special Zoom Soldier Player Edition was made exclusively for that event. This year when we recapped the ’08 LBJ Skills Academy it was unclear if the Zoom Soldier II has been granted the same honor. Fortunately, browsing through ebay an answer has been found. The primary Soldier II colorway has been customized for the attendants, who participated in this year’s camp. The difference that sets the GR and this Promo Sample apart is lack of the Lionhead logo on the back. It got replaced with a Skills Academy logo, which is also present on the insole. Ultra Rare Nike Zoom LeBron IV Gloria Pink Player Exclusive »

Since LeBron’s first season in the NBA and his very first signature sneaker – Nike Air Zoom Generation – Nike has made a special Friends & Family version of each shoe in a White and Pink colorway exclusively for his mom Gloria James. Usually all Gloria PEs are among the rarest of kicks, but the featured today Nike Zoom LeBron IV bests them all. With only a handful made this is nearly impossible to get, although a lot of people are trying really hard. This Pink ZLIV features a white upper with a special translucent pink outsole accompanied by more pink details like Swoosh outline, laces and ankle strap border. King James Unveils the Nike Zoom LeBron VI in Beijing »

LeBron’s been wearing plenty of special shoes, but he knows that when a big stage is coming with the whole world watching he must shock the fans. With few more months left till the release of the highly awaited Zoom LeBron 6 he’s planing to display them on the most important sports event – the Olympics Gold Medal Game. That is if the U.S. team beats Argentina tomorrow giving them a chance to complete the redemption and reclaim the Gold.
