James and U.S.A. Basketball Squad Rolls Past Lithuania »

The U.S. Men’s Senior National Team suffered what you might call their first scare on their way to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. And by that, we mean that they were leading by less than 10 points in the second half of Friday’s exhibition against Lithuania at the Cotai Arena in Macao. Lithuania scored 15 points on their first six possessions after halftime, at one point cutting the U.S. lead, which was 17 at the break and as many as 19 in the first half, down to nine, 61-52, early in the third. But the U.S. made a counter-adjustment on their pick-and-roll defense, stopped Lithuania on five of their next six possessions, and used a 14-3 run to open the game back up. When you looked at the U.S. Team’s exhibition schedule, you knew this would be their toughest test. And they clearly passed it, looking more prepared for what Beijing will bring. LeBron James had a strong all-around game with 15 points, five rebounds and six assists. Read the full recap on ESPN and enjoy the photos below. Info via nba.com.

I wish all the best to my neighbors and if everything goes well Lithuania will have a chance to face them again and prove their value
However, I don’t see anybody being a threat to the U.S.A. This year.
