No more LeBron-ze! King James ‘Guarantees’ Olympic Gold for U.S. »

O.K., world, pin this one on your locker-room wall. LeBron James is picturing himself on the Beijing medal stand, gold draping his gargantuan chest. “It’s going to be like waking up on Christmas Day,” says James, the Cleveland Cavalier and global icon who led the NBA in scoring this season. “All you dreamed about this whole month was having that bike you wanted, and you get down to your living room ? it’s there. It’s like one of the greatest things that has ever happened to you.” So you’re going to bring a hoops title back home to the U.S., the country that gave birth to the game, reared it and then lost the ball to more graceful global neighbors? “Absolutely,” James responds. Guarantee it? “Absolutely.”

LeBron James appears on one of the covers of the latest issue of TIME Magazine, which hits newsstands Friday, and he discusses his Olympic hopes and dreams. Also, be sure to check out this exclusive interview with with King James about the upcoming Olympic Games. Once you finish your reading and watching check out the latest photos from USA Basketball squad training camp below. On Tuesday, James suffered what U.S. Olympic team doctors called a mild right ankle sprain while practicing against a select squad of young NBA players in Las Vegas. However, on Wednesday, there was LeBron James, a smile on his face, standing beyond the three-point arc Wednesday afternoon at the end of practice at Valley High, pumping in shot after shot, making six of nine in one sequence, free of a walking boot or any other medical device on his right leg. Only 24 hours earlier, James, diagnosed with a mild sprain of his right ankle, was stretched out on a trainer’s bench in that same gym, his right foot encased in ice, a frown on his face. “It feels a lot better today,” James said. “When it first happened, it didn’t feel good at all.” He even mentioned about it in his latest blog entry in order to make sure his fans aren’t worried :-).

Detailed Look at the Supreme Nike Zoom Soldier II Olympic Edition »

The “United We Rise” edition dropped and sold few hours ago and now it’s time to take a closer look at the other USA Basketball X LeBron James Nike Zoom Soldier II. Unlike the UWR this ZSII Supreme doesn’t feature USA inspired tribal pattern, but it presents Chinese characters representing LeBron’s Olympic jersey #6 and the word “Land”. Probably the collest things about both USA Soldiers are the boxes. They are dope. This one has a Lion laser logo, which can be also seen on the back of the shoe. On the medial side of the shoe instead of #2 and #3, the USA versions feature #6. Pics courtesy of Marcsj08, H-Leung via hk-kicks.com.

United We Rise Soldier II Hit NDC. Selling Out Fast!!! »

Visit nikestore.com. Only a few sizes left. Get yours while you still can. Update: So at this point almost all shoes are gone. Only one size is available 13US. A couple days ago when the NDC pics got published we predicted an NDC release, but didn’t expect it will be so soon. Hopefully there will be more pairs widely available. One thing is sure… House of Hoops will get these as well. Many hate the HoH releases, but for whose who missed today’s nikestore.com launch this might be ever worse. Anyway it was Nike’s first online limited release in a really long time. Of course those last two Birthday releases that ended up at outlets do not count. A better look at the “United We Rise” drawer box after the jump (props to H-Leung from hk-kicks.com).

Velvet Nike Zoom LeBron V Cleveland Home Player Exclusive Part One »

In the past year LeBron James wasn’t so much into PEs. That’s probably because he wanted to promote the GRs and boost up their sales, however, it’s unsual to see him wear a Player Exclusive version of his main shoe for the season – Nike Zoom LeBron V – only 4 times in 75 NBA games he played in. In these four cases he wore the Hardwood Classic on the opening night, the New York Yankees during his visit at Madison Square Garden, and the last two involved a special Cleveland colored White, Crimson and Gold Nike Zoom LeBron V. The Yankees, after hitting the outlets, are not that unique so it leaves us with TWO TRUE PEs sported by King James in the 2007-08 NBA Season. Also, in the 2008 Playoffs when we wore the Zoom Soldier II, it seemed he’s gonna bring out some heavier sneaker arsenal, but then the best out of 4 ZSIIs he did wear – the Remix Zoom Soldier II – ended up as a Finishline Exclusive. Anyway, since the Hardwood Classic Nike LeBron V has been showcased already with some good photos several times here on NLB.net, today we want to show you the other of those two special “True PE” V’s worn by the King. It’s a White/Varsity Crimson/Metallic Gold colorway. Apart from White buttery leather across the body, Crimson half-toe-box, strap, laces and Gold buckle, eyelets and stitching, it features Crimson Suede, Velvet-like Phyposite elements. Most importantly it has the LRJ logo stitched on the back – True PE symbol. After the jump you’ll see a massive number of pics… and that’s just part number one. Check back tomorrow for some more detailed shots.
