Unreleased Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier Sample Wheat Camo “Desert Storm” »

Remember the 20.5.5 Wheat Sample that popped out of nowhere last year? Looks like Nike followed the pattern with its successor – Nike Zoom Soldier – and made a Wheat version of LeBron’s last year’s Playoffs shoes. This time, the Camo Soldier, which is living up to its name, shares several similarities to the Sole Bar exclusive Soldier I aka Soledier, for example the laser etched camouflage pattern on the straps and ankle collar. Also it has a translucent gum outsole just like the Wheat 20.5.5′s. The toe cap is made of an abrasion resistant textile that has somewhat of a sandpaper like feel. It would be great if LBJ decided to rock them cause they would look good with Cavs home unis. Props to the guys at solecollector.com, good to see the site up again! 2008 NBA Playoffs R1G2: A near Triple-Double and a 2-0 lead »

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ extreme makeover is complete. For more than two months since a colossal trade dismantled the defending Eastern Conference champions, Cleveland has waited for the game where its team of mixed parts and new faces finally molded into a legitimate NBA title contender. It happened. Maybe Gilbert Arenas was talking about some other Cavaliers a few weeks back. The team he faced Monday night doesn’t look so beatable. LeBron James scored 30 points, Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 16, and the Cavs played their best game since the Feb. 21 megatrade, blowing out the Washington Wizards 116-86 to take a 2-0 lead in an opening-round playoff series oozing with bad blood. The 30-point margin of victory was the largest in Cleveland’s 112-game postseason history, and the Cavaliers’ performance was perhaps their finest 48 minutes since November. James was scary all right. He scored 14 points in the third quarter when the Cavs opened a 25-point lead over the Wizards, whose defensive scheme coming into their third series in as many years with Cleveland was to slow the superstar by roughing him up with hard, clean fouls. It may be time for Plan B. The Wizards hardly bothered James, who finished with 12 assists and nine rebounds, barely missing his third career postseason triple-double. With his team up by 15 at halftime, Brown began reminding his team about the importance of staying aggressive. He only got in a few words. “I didn’t say anything,” Brown said. “LeBron James did. Ultimate SVSM Nike LeBron Collection from Visrael »

Today here on NLB is a tribute to the St. Vincent St. Mary – LeBron’s High School. A while back we showed you a couple cool pics presenting a Nike LeBron SVSM set from Sole Supreme. Since then several new shoes came out and another LeBrons enthusiast – Visrael – completed his own SVSM collection and was kind enough to share it with us. 2008 NBA Playoffs R1G1: Nike Zoom Soldier II Debut »

Determined to make the Wizards swallow their words, LeBron James scored 32 points, making two tough shots in traffic down the stretch as the Cleveland Cavaliers opened the NBA playoffs with an intense 93-86 win over Washington on Saturday. Called “overrated” by Washington’s DeShawn Stevenson in the final weeks of the season, James scored 20 points in the second half to lead the defending Eastern Conference champions, who took a 1-0 lead in a best-of-seven series that appears to have a long way to go.

China edition of LeBron’s latest Nike Zoom Soldier II »

Just a few moments ago LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers started this year’s postseason with a win over the Washington Wizards. Check out the other post to see photos from that game. Just like last year when King James wore the Zoom Soldier I during the whole Playoffs, today he broke out his new shoe Nike Zoom Soldier II – which released yesterday – in a new, unseen White/Crimson/Gold colorway. Although we don’t have a photo of that exact style take a look at a very similar colorway featuring a camo outsole and gold accents that according to the source – solecollector.com – will be releasing in China early this summer.

LeBron sits out the last game. Wins NBA scoring title! »

James, bothered by back spasms in recent weeks, finished with a 30.0 scoring average and became the first Cavaliers player to lead the league in scoring. For the finale, LeBron James rested his back — and sat on his scoring title. Cleveland’s All-Star forward spent the game in street clothes, resting up for a first-round matchup with Washington. The 23-year-old had his best statistical season in his fifth year as a pro, averaging career-highs in rebounds (7.9) rebounds and equaling his best in assists (7.2). James is the first player to average 30-7-7 in one season since Michael Jordan in 1988-89, and he joined Jordan and Oscar Robertson as the only players ever to do it.
