Hardwood Classic Nike Zoom LeBron V Second Look »

Back in March we posted the first pics presenting the HWC V’s. Cavaliers’ Hardwood Classics uniform debuted back in 2006 in tribute of the Cavs 1986-87 season. In the summer of 1986, the team hired Wayne Embry as General Manager and Lenny Wilkens as head coach, drafted center Brad Daugherty with the number one overall selection and shooting guard Ron Harper with the eighth overall selection and acquired Mark Price and Craig Ehlo. The season marked the beginning of an unforgettable period of time for the Cavs franchise and began a run of playoff contention for years to come. James and Co. wore the HWC jerseys just once this season, on Halloween, and just like last year LeBron has a shoe to match them. New pics found on ebay.

James and the Cavs trying to lock No. 4 seed in the Playoffs »

This has been a two steps forward, one step back sort of season for the Cavaliers. Thursday’s events fit right into that file, a night after breaking their road losing streak with a quality win in Charlotte without LeBron James for the stretch run, the Cavs came home and coughed up a 17-point lead in a 101-98 loss to the woeful Chicago Bulls. A victory would’ve put a headlock on the No. 4 seed and homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Instead the Cavs’ first game with their entire set of rotation players turned into a classic bad loss and another injury reared its head. James battled back spasms for much of the second half, which seemed to zap his effectiveness in the stretch run.
